Speaker of the national assembly Asad Qaiser today inaugured the ‘Common Man’s Gallery’ at the national assembly of Pakistan giving access to the common men to the lower house of the parliament. This now allows everyone with a valid national identity card to enter the national assembly and watch the session of the parliament.
Talking at a press conference, the speaker national assembly stated that this step has been taken to facilitate the common citizens to give them access to the national assembly of Pakistan. “Any citizen can have access to National Assembly by showing his National Identity Card,” Asad Qaiser stated.
Asad Qaiser went on to add that special staff will there at the counter to help the citizens. Furthermore, he said that this step will enable people to meet their representatives.
“Guests coming to witness proceedings will not be allowed to bring mobile phone, tape recorder, weapon, umbrella, camera, hand bags, book and stick in the gallery,” He concluded.
