The 24th death Anniversary of the popular Pakistani playback artist Masood Rana was observed today (Friday).
Masood Rana was born in Mir Pur Khas, Sindh to a landowner family which had relocated from the East Punjab city Jalandhar.
He started his singing profession in 1962 with the film Inqalab and turned into the top male vocalist in both Urdu and Punjabi films for over three decades. He began his singing profession on Radio Pakistan Hyderabad in 1955 and built up an artist bunch in Karachi in the mid 60’s with two different popular names in showbiz.
Masood Rana sang in excess of thousand tunes in 630 movies from 1962-96.
He passed on October 4, 1995 because of cardiac arrest during his voyage on a train.
