The Pakistan Tehreek E Insaf led federal government has decided not to increase the petrol prices for the month of October. According to the available details, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority had suggested to decrease the petroleum prcies for the month of August.
However, the government has decided that it will not increase the prices of the petroleum. According to sources, the decision was taken keeping in view the surge in petrol prices in international market. According to a source privy to the matter, The government thinks that petrol prices will remain high until November.
So the government has decided against reducing petrol prices. On the other hand the government has increased the LPG prices by over 11 percent. Earlier OGRA had recommended to reduce petrol prices by 2 rupees 55 Paisas while the diel prcies were recommended to be reduced by 3 rupees 23 paisas.
