Babar Azam crossed another milestone in his 71st innings and has become the first player to score a thousand ODI runs in a calendar year after 2013.
Earlier in 2013, Misbah-ul-Haq and Mohammad Hafeez scored thousand, thousand runs in a year.
Babar Azam is the 10th Pakistani player to score a thousand or more ODI runs a year, before Muhammad Yousuf has performed this feat three times, while Ejaz Ahmed, Amir Sohail, Mohammad Hafeez and Inzamam-ul-Haq has scored a thousand ODI runs twice a year.
Javed Miandad, Misbah-ul-Haq, Younus Khan and Saeed Anwar performed this feat once.
