COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Miranshah and had meeting with tribal leaders from North and South Waziristan regions, an official statement of Inter-Services Public Relations revealed this on Friday.
While talking with the tribal leaders, General Bajwa said that cross border fear-based terror episodes are step by step diminishing because of cementing of Pakistan-Afghanistan border particularly the continuous fencing.
“In any case, peace and stability inside Pakistan is connected to peace in Afghanistan for which Pakistan is making efforts ”
COAS said that Afghanistan is our Muslim neighbor and we wish peace in Afghanistan as much for Pakistan.
He mentioned tribal leaders [elders] to keep continuing their job in instructing the youth as the blend of experience and knowledge of tribal leaders with vitality and ability is a formula for progress.
Indicating to few unstable incidents like (IED) attacks in later past, the COAS requested that they remain alert and attentive against those facilitators and abettors who are transformed into peaceful natives and working for the agitators.
He said that managing those few through power isn’t troublesome anyway even at the cost setbacks of security powers we bargain them guaranteeing that tranquil natives are not hurt. It is just with common participation that we will defeat such fear mongers, he included.
Innate tribals guaranteed General Bajwa that they will keep supporting security powers in keeping up security conditions.
They mentioned the Chief for practical fulfillment of ongoing projects . COAS Bajwa said that step by step all projects will get completed and upon finish, these efforts will bring enduring peace, stability and progress in the area.
Administrator Peshawer Corps was also present during the gathering.
