In Shikarpur district of Sindh province, 50 police officers and policemen working for robbers have been ordered to evacuate the district.
In the ongoing operation to eradicate the robbers in Shikarpur, the police were constantly facing losses and the causes have finally been revealed.
SSP Shikarpur submitted report to the AIG regarding the reasons for the failure of police operations in Shikarpur, in which the main reason for the failure of these operations was termed a serious violation of rules and regulations by the police officers and personnel. ۔
He also presented the AIG with a list of officers and personnel reporting the police operations to the robbers.
SSP Shikarpur Rizwan Khan, in a report submitted to AIG Sukkur Dr Jamil Ahmed, disclosed that the bridge information and other information regarding the operations conducted by the police should be provided to the dacoits.
He also presented to the AIG a list of 50 police officers and personnel who provided sensitive information to the robbers, including 9 sub-inspectors, 6 assistant sub-inspectors, 6 head constables and 24 policemen.
AIG Dr Jamil Ahmed confirmed the contact and said that these black sheep have been deported as a preliminary punishment and their deployment in Shikarpur district has also been banned for 3 years.
He said that further evidence was being collected against the officers and personnel involved in such acts so that they could be dismissed.
Dr. Jamil Ahmed said deported district police personnel have been providing sensitive information to criminals and that these officers have also been involved in extortion from drug dealers, smuggling of Iranian petrol and non-customs vehicles.
It may be recalled that six policemen, including a DSP, SHO and ASI, have been martyred in a long-running operation in Shikarpur.
