A local court in Lahore has directed the Punjab police to arrest singer Rabi Pirzada in exotic animals case. The arrest warrants were issued following Rabi Pirzada’s absence before the court despite various summon notices.
The Court had issued summon notices to the actress asking her present herself before the court but Rabi Pirzada didn’t appear. The honorable court expressed it’s displeasure over the absence of the Lahore based singer.
The Punjab Wildlife Protection and Parks Department had initiated action against the singer for illegally keeping wild animals such as four pythons, an alligator and snakes as pets.
Rabi Pirzada’s possession of wild animals is a violation of Wildlife Act. The Wildlife Act stops an individual from keeping wild animals as pets. The action was taken after Rabi Pirzada’s social media videos with four pythons, an alligator and snakes started doing the rounds on social media.
On the other hand Rabi Pirzada has termed the warrant against her a “regular procedure”. The Singer lashed out at the wild life department for failing to provide any proof against her. Rabi Pirzada also said that the animals in the videos don’t belong to her.
The ultimate failure of our system, wildlife could present no report against me, the warrant is a regular procedure for such like cases, search warrant on fake address proved nothing , my next date when i am supposed to appear on court is 11th October.#ModiHitler #chotisibaat pic.twitter.com/CA5lU6aGJ2
