Imran Khan and Tayyip Erdogan demands UN to take solid steps against Islamophobia

Prime Minister Imran Khan and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan jointly hosted a high-level meeting in the United Nations on the subject of hate speech and remarks. Both leaders demanded the UN to take solid steps against Islamophobia and hate speech.

On the occasion, Imran Khan said that religious figures and books should not be allowed to desecrate in the guise of freedom of expression.
“Violence and discrimination are increasing based on religion and beliefs, dealing with the motivations and consequences of hate and racial discrimination,” he said.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said tolerance and greater understanding among communities around the world need to be fostered, the United Nations is an important dialogue platform for combating hate speech and the world must understand Islam and How much the Muslims love Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H).

Addressing the meeting, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that hate speeches are born before crimes against humanity, Muslims are the easy target of hate speeches all over the world.

The Turkish president further said that Muslims are being burned alive on eating beef in India, the entire occupied Kashmir has become a prison and there is a fear of bloodshed by India.
