COAS attended the Funeral prayer of martyrs of Babusar incident.

As the result of incident 26 people, including a few Pakistan Army soldiers, were killed and more than 19 harmed in a traveller transport mishap on Babusar Pass in the Diamer locale of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) from the get-go Sunday.

As indicated by Diamer Police Spokesperson Mohammad Wakeel, the traveller transport, having a place with a privately-owned business, had left from Skardu right off the bat Saturday for Rawalpindi. Nonetheless, the lost control of the transport and collided with a mountain, bringing about a heartbreaking mishap.

Not long after the mishap, different vehicles out and about halted and the individuals began trying endeavours to move the harmed to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) in Chilas.

Out of the 45 harmed/perished travellers of Mashabrum Tours transport, 39 were moved to Chilas while six were moved to a clinic in the Naran zone.

As per the Chilas clinic sources, it got 24 dead bodies and 15 harmed travellers. Out of the six harmed travellers moved to the Naran emergency clinic, one passed away, raising the loss of life to 25.

As per a traveller who aided in moving the bodies, no emergency vehicle and salvage group had touched base in the zone even following one hour of the mishap. Because of deferred salvage activity, the quantity of setbacks had expanded.

Funeral prayer of soldiers killed in the incident happened at Babusar top held today.

The funeral prayer was attended at Chaklala Garrison Rawalpindi.

Chief of army staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and other prominent authorities attended the funeral prayers of the soldiers.

Current and retired soldiers and the relatives of soldiers also attended the funeral prayers.
