The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed that ten soldiers of Pakistan army have also lost their lives in the tragic incident near Babusar top. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a media statement said that 26 people lost their lives in this unfortunate accident, 10 of which belongs to the Pakistan army.
The ISPR statement further reads that the injured and deceased people were taken to CMH Gilgit through a chopper of the Pakistan army. The injured people were provided with treatment at the military hospital. The local health care authorities faced troubles in handling the situation as the site of the incident was very far. The Pakistan army then decided to provide medical facilities to the injured people considering the difficulties faced by the local authorities.
Earlier in the morning it was reported that a passenger bus has slammed into a mountain resulting in the casualties of 26 people including women and children.
