The audit report has unearthed irregularities worth millions of rupees to national airlines during PMLN tenure. According to the report, In the year 2016-17 of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) 46 flights of the national carrier were operated from Islamabad Airport without passengers.
The 46 flights operated did not had a single passenger thus causing a loss of 18 crore rupees to the PIA. The top authorities of PIA were informed regarding this situation but no one paid any attention to it and eventually resulted in the loss of millions of rupees.
The documents has also unveiled that 36 flights of Haj and Umrah were also operated without any passenger. The Pakistan International Airlines has been working hard on getting on its feet again but such incompetency and ignorance wouldn’t help its cause.
