As part of Prime Minister Imran khan’s austerity drive the Government of Punjab has saved a whopping amount of 38 billion rupees in the first month of the current fiscal year. Prime Minister has strictly advised his members of the Federal and provincial governments against unnecessary use of public wealth.
Provincial minister for health Dr Yasmin Rashid has taken the lead in this regard as she reduced the Ministry’s unnecessary usage of taxpayers money and saved as much as 8 billion rupees. On the other hand provincial finance minister Hashim Jawan Bakht saved over six billion rupees.
Minister for Law Punjab reduced the unnecessary usage of taxpayers money and saved over four billion rupees. While Education ministry has recorded total savings of over three billion rupees.
Imran Khan has always emphasized on reducing the unnecessary funds of the government and had vowed to spend taxpayers money on public.
