The Sindh High Court has issued notices to the Pakistan Cricket Board and players on a petition filed against Shoaib Malik’s family for visiting Sheesha before the Pakistan-India World Cup cricket match.
On June 17 this year, a video surfaced showing National Cricket Team players Shoaib Malik, his wife Sania Mirz and other national cricketers in the Sheesha bar.
Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza’s viral video sparked controversy
As per the video, it was said that Shoaib Malik and other cricketers were shouting outside the main match one night before worrying about the match.
A petition was filed in the Sindh High Court stating that Shoaib Malik and other cricketers went to the Sheesha bar on the night before the match, after which the main match was lost the next day.
Shoaib Malik, Sania Mirza, Veena Malik, Imamul Haq and Wahab Riaz and others have been made parties in the inquiry.
The court adjourned the hearing till October 8, issuing notices to the parties.
