The US President, Donald Trump, has once again offered to help ease tensions between India and Pakistan over the Kashmir issue. It’s the third time US President has offered mediation between the two arch rivals in order to ensure peace and stability in the region.
While addressing media at the White House, Trump said, “I am willing to help them if they want. They know that. That is out there. India and Pakistan are having a conflict over Kashmir as you know. I think it is a little bit less heated right now than what was two weeks ago.”
The US President added that he got along well with both India and Pakistan.Trump had first offered to mediate when he said in July that Indian PM Narendra Modi had suggested this to him during their Osaka meeting.
