We never give mandate to political leaders to take side with Americans in their war on terror, neither were the decisions of going to wars were the decisions of our political leaders. A civilians has to be really rich to own a home in Defence, but it is much easier for a military officer to own property in Defence.
You would not be suprpised to find even Lt. Cols owning expensives homes in Defence. They did not steal. Military officers are rewarded during their career, and when they get medals.
So, probabably what Musharraf got from military is normal & legal.
