I am surprise a man who has stood up to cleanse the sytem of the corrupt mafia is being targetted in this way, this is despicable. I would like to request all please keep the language clean and not say derogratory marks on the personality as he is one of the biggest scholars of Islam who has defended Islam against western forces for the last few years and I being a muslim living in the UK am very proud that we have people of this calibre who can convince the English professors that Islam is a true religion that does not support terrorism etc. I think he is one of the few people that have stood to protect the image of Islam and I have not seen many people do that especially those claim to be lead big islamic parties. Selling God, lets take a whimsical look at the Contemporary Media driven Islamic Movement by the self proclaimed TV Islamic scholars.
Dr. Thair Qadri's dreams and his association with our prophet has satirical perspective on the many absurdities that arise when religion and popular culture collide.
The man has setup a multi billion rupee "religious business empire" using unbelievable and unreal stories and creating an image of himself as a supernatural being, close to be the demigod or prophet, yet still a normal human, a very complicated hybrid super human, yet subservient to GOD.
In America the religion is up for sale and people have made fortunes out of selling some stupid bi products, such as Bible-based diet books( More of Jesus.Less of me), Repture T-shirts(one features a basketball game with half its players disappearing in Rapture-the caption is "fast Break).
Doing staged healing via Jesus coming in the body of the cripple or sick person is a common occurrence on staged TV dramas and almost all these people selling God will claim that the Jesus got in touch with them via supernatural means and touched them, thus gave them the healing powers.
Pakistani media driven religious leaders, likes of Dr. Thair Qadri are no different, they are selling God and "magical event"miracles , which no one can see, feel or hear, but must have blind faith in them, that is what this Dr. Is doing, business as usual, selling his unbelievable and at times stupid and moronic dreams.
In aggressive marketing and pretending to be on moral mission, religious orators will come up with bloody, violent tales , dreams driven by message of revenge against adultery, corruption or whatever the snake oil one wants to sell, can be incorporated in the selling of God business enterprise.
We all know who this Dr. Qadri is, but granted he has a following of grave worshiping, undereducated, wrongly educated and uneducated Pakistani masses who give votes to Bhutto graves, personality driven propaganda artists and to anyone who can sell them a dream.
Knowing the ground realities we can not discard this man for his marketing strategy of selling dreams, creating hysterical religious feelings and changing his stands given the audience who are full of "Superstition" (is a belief in supernatural causality: that one event leads to the cause of another without any physical process linking the two events, such as astrology, omens, witchcraft, etc., that contradicts natural science).
I still want to see how he stands for the propaganda he has generated and how it can help us "even a little" towards true change of "attitudes" of the Pakistani "Deteriorating" and dying society.
My old post, but one must try to understand this man to evaluate his actions, the past, present and in the future.
If this impotent judiciary would have done their job, like interpretation of the constitution to letter and sprit without worrying about their western role models and masters fear of Islamic nature of the constitution the great majority of these criminal politicians wold have been executed and or locked up for ethnic cleansing, targeted killings, crime against humanity, money laundering, loan defaults,frauds and corruption at all levels.

What Dr Qadri has achieved is something which will only benefit the people of Pakistan and not the status quo corrupt politicians and that is why they are generally opposing it. I think he has proved to be a brave leader who has challenged the provincial and Federal govt and I think that is why they are character asassinating him because he has stood up for the common person. I think if the electoral reforms are implemented and article 62 and 63 are implemented it will not change overnight however it will revolutionise politics in Pakistan. Dr Qadri has also said his family will not stand for elections or his family this is commendable, also where is the establishment, the foreign forces that we kept being told were behind him. I think we should stop all these lies and support someone who has stood up for the common people.

The most significant outcome of the parleys held between the coalition partners and Dr Tahirul Qadri on Thursday is the consensus point on the proposed legal provision to be incorporated in the electoral laws regarding pre-clearance of candidates under Articles 62, 63 and 218 of the Constitution.
As per the proposed new legal provision, one month will be given for scrutiny of nomination papers and the candidates would not be declared eligible to contest the elections unless all concerned departments including FBR, Income Tax, commercial banks, NAB, police and other institutions issue a clearance certificate about his/ her being not a defaulter on any count.
In other words, all such candidates would be ineligible to contest who had a history of having defaulted on account of payment of their taxes or the loans acquired from different financial institutions. Likewise, the Election Commission would also ensure that prospective candidates have not been found involved in any kind of fraud, financial or other at any stage in their life. A person with criminal background would also be ineligible and a certificate from the police department would be sought. A clearance certificate from NAB would also be mandatory to confirm that the candidate had never committed corruption.
However, it has not been clarified whether or not the candidates would have the right to file appeal against rejection of their nomination papers in the appellate benches consisting of the superior judiciary. The candidates have this under the existing arrangement.
Dr Qadri’s demand regarding dissolution of National Assembly before March 16 is directly linked to this provision. The election time has been extended to another month to provide sufficient time to the Election Commission to complete the process of scrutiny of candidates’ credentials. This would happen for the first time in country’s electoral history.
It is expected that majority of the existing lot of politicians would be filtered out as a result of this tight scrutiny to be undertaken jointly by the Election Commission and the departments concerned.

62,63 article of Pakistani constitution forbid any loose or bad character or corrupt person to participate as a candidate in Pakistani national election. This is the main line which Tahir ul qadri is stressing. Main figure who is affected by this 62,63 article is harami khan, who is zani shrabi and juwari with his own harami beti, and he could never ever contest in this election that is the stance of Mian Nawaz as well , perhaps Mian Nawaz is also falling under this article. I think Dr Qadri did exaggerate few things in march but the outcome of deceleration was good…..very well negotiated…now he has to push for these practices during election process. If all these points are applied then i have to say PTI will sweep the elections…..
