When a minimum level of education is required to be the member of the Parliament., There has to be a minimum educational level obligation for a voter too, the Root Cause of Our Nation's decline is due to the system of " ONE MAN ONE VOTE ", under the Slogan of Democracy, where a layman doesn't even know nothing about Politics, Country's Economy, Country's Priorities, can not look farther than his own personal tiny miniscule personal interests and In General the impact of his Vote.
Democracy needs a lot of preparations prior to it's introduction in a society.
The Education is the first step before opening the door of democracy to a Nation.
PLEASE Educate your population FIRST ( like in Malaysia for an at hand example) to benefit in real sense the Real Fruits of Democracy !!
1) Please realize that there is a difference between educated (sensible) people and literate people. I personally think that a degree or diploma is not a guarantee for a 'rationale' choice during elections.
2) Doing so would be impractical even counter-productive. The status quo would materialize on this opportunity appealing to the mass public, who are already politically unaware as you mentioned, asking them to rise up against the bourgeoisie/elite who don't care for the interest of the common people. "They (elite) wants to deprive you of your democratic right etc'
3) Statistics suggest that it is usually the educated class of the society who have shown apathy for the election process as manifested by the low turnout during the past elections, 44% only in 2008 including the bogus votes. The scenario for upcoming elections may differ.
I get where you are coming from and that you may have pure intentions but we need to understand the complexities of the problems that lay ahead of us. We should at least keep these things in mind so we may find the counter for these problems.

I just realized that we are incorrigible. The biggest lie that we speak to ourselves every single day is that the coming Election will change our fate. The fact of the matter is that the common man is unable to understand the value of his vote. Consequently he will vote for the corrupt persons again just for bag of flour. When a minimum level of education is required to be the member of the Parliament., There has to be a minimum educational level obligation for a voter too, the Root Cause of Our Nation's decline is due to the system of " ONE MAN ONE VOTE ", under the Slogan of Democracy, where a layman doesn't even know nothing about Politics, Country's Economy, Country's Priorities, can not look farther than his own personal tiny miniscule personal interests and In General the impact of his Vote.
Democracy needs a lot of preparations prior to it's introduction in a society.
The Education is the first step before opening the door of democracy to a Nation.
PLEASE Educate your population FIRST ( like in Malaysia for an at hand example) to benefit in real sense the Real Fruits of Democracy !!

1) Please realize that there is a difference between educated (sensible) people and literate people. I personally think that a degree or diploma is not a guarantee for a 'rationale' choice during elections.
2) Doing so would be impractical even counter-productive. The status quo would materialize on this opportunity appealing to the mass public, who are already politically unaware as you mentioned, asking them to rise up against the bourgeoisie/elite who don't care for the interest of the common people. "They (elite) wants to deprive you of your democratic right etc'
3) Statistics suggest that it is usually the educated class of the society who have shown apathy for the election process as manifested by the low turnout during the past elections, 44% only in 2008 including the bogus votes. The scenario for upcoming elections may differ.
I get where you are coming from and that you may have pure intentions but we need to understand the complexities of the problems that lay ahead of us. We should at least keep these things in mind so we may find the counter for these problems.
