Both Talat Hussain and Shahid Masood, were quite right that there was no leadership to be seen anywhere in Pakistan. They also said that Imran Khan disappeared as well, which is not true.
Imran Khan was out there in the streets carrying out a peaceful march and talk. Imran also suggested on how to response and tackle sensitive issue such as blasphemous. Indeed, Mr Khan is fearless and a man of people. He is also a man of principle.
It’s all very well to criticise the government. BUT, are we not forgetting that we elected these people…
the "sharabeez" and the corrupt rich have no guts or courage….what they are interested in is to save their own skins and property and wealth….a provocative event that happened abroad galvanised the protest for everything thats bad in Pakistan and their anger…violence is justified…the "ruling Elite" must note that no matter how many "red zones" they create to save themselves these will be broken apart by the people of Pakistan…..this day is a begining of Peoples Revolt and the people are not afraid now to confront the imbecile Pakistani Elites….no matter how much they pay lip service to religion and show how great "muslims" they are……their lies will be ripped apart the people now realise their strength against the armed police and military that belongs to the "corrupt"…..this goes for these talk-show hosts too

Did you educate them how to protest? Did your leaders lead them for guidance?

A nation who does not know how to cross the road will protest in this way only. When you put Cows in Schools instead of kids and make health centers the living place of animals then you can not raise a nation to protest peacefully.
Why our President did not come on the media to lead the nation in this regard.? This is the time when nation needs guidance and leaders to teach them but our leaders are going to meet their lords.
Our expectations from this nation are just like western & developed nations but we are depriving then from basic fundamental rights even.
For God sake give them education first and then expect civilization.
These are the people living in the cities. They are humans and they know what is right and wrong. They have seen schools colleges and universities and madrases. The people of the city interact with all kind of people on a daily basis. They are very well informed and educated even if they are uneducated.

What a lovely panel and lovely discussion. Today's events has certain given a poor image of us Muslims and Pakistan. We should be all ashamed about the violent protest . Im sure violence is not part of Islamic teaching and neither it would be approved by our beloved Prophet Mohammed (PBUH. I agree with some one the points placed forward by Dr Masood regarding the connection between poverty and lack of education that drive's violence. Poverty and unemployment always is a bad ingredients for extremeness.
I remember as a kid when we use to tease certain people by saying particular things and I believe it is very common every where in Pakistan. People just love to turn someone crazy by doing what drives him crazy.
They will drive you crazy and you will act like a lunatic again. You will be furious again and they will laugh at you again.
