Most of the Quran was copied from bible and some from Torah and many things from other great scholars like Hippocrates etc but the common man did not have the knowledge f these things . prophet used to go to other countries for trade and when he got enough knowledge by knowing from different areas and people , then in the end ( at 40 years ) he composed the whole school of thought . In fact , initially he got a lot of guidance from Warqa Bin Nofel ( a christian ) and father in-law to prophet , because Hazrath khadija was rich and prophet relation with her and her parents were very Good . Moreover prophet was already from Quresh who were already influential in that community . Mecca was already the center of trade out of all the surrounding areas , and Khana Qaba was already there because it was made by Hazrath ibrahim who is called the father of Prophets . Prophet Muhammad was himself from the lineage of Harath Ibrahim through Hazrath ismail . So like most religions , Islam had a political , cultural as well as economic basis But that does not make Islam or Quran the word of God . After becoming prophet , he married many wives from time to time , some even as young as 10 years e.g Hazrath Aisha . To increase the grip on the arising situations , he made as much relations as possible with people who endorsed him . For example hot got daughters from Hazrath Omar as well as Hazrath Abu-Bakar and later on made them Khalifas . Similarly he gave his daughters to Hazrath Usman and hazrath Ali . But he killed those who did not endorse him even if they were close family members . For example Abu-jehal and Abu-Lahab were also prophet's uncles and Hazrath Abu-Talib and Abu-Sufyaan were also his uncles ( those who endorsed the prophet Or had some reasonably Ok terms with Prophet were not killed but those in strict opposition like Au-jehal and Abu-Lahab didnt live long after prophet gained some power) . Moreover hazrath Abu-Talib was not harmed because he was Hazrath Ali's father , though he did not ever accept Islam. So all these things were pretty much like a Royal system and Julius Caeser type relations with just different excuses/ ideas/ beliefs to validate or remain in power . For example when prophet's daughter ( wife of Hazrath Usman ) died , then prophet gave him his second daughter for marriage . So this whole system of prophethood and Khalifaism was interrelated and had a lot of nepotism and favoritism. I am not saying that it did not serve good purposes . It offered a lot of justice , freedom from slavery and cruelties etc but it still does not mean that it was from the God side . like christianity, hinduism, Judaisms , etc , Islam was man made . God may exist but it contradicts the mercifulness and greatness of God ( taught by Islam ) if such a God offers you Heaven Or Rewards for taking his side and killing other human beings . Earth has a billion years of history and evolved from different stages . In those billion years , Human's history is very short just in millions of years , and Religion's history is very short ( like Salt in Flour ) . We hardly know the history as far back as prophet David, or ibrahim or Noah , which is hardly few thousand years . The rest of the things are just stories told by different prophets initially in Torah , then Bible and then Quran . In fact many people complained to the prophet that other divine books have good stories and that Quran does not have it ( check Islamic history ) . The it was after this that beautiful stories , specially the one about prophet Joseph ( yousaf ) was introduced to Quran , and some other stuff like Tufan-e-Noah and bibi-maryum . The fact that Bible had mentioned a name of a future prophet , does not prove prophet Muhammad to be sent from God because bible in itself was not sent by God. Moreover the Muhammad name was kept to open the door for a new prophet in the strong family of Quresh . Prophet's Grand-father Abdul-Mutalib was also an influential person with many sons like Abu-Sufyaan, Abu-jehal , Abu-talib , Abu-Lahab and was already taking care of Khana-e-Qaba ( check islamic histroy ) . So my dear Brothers and sisters ( hahaha ) , it is ok to follow the good things of islam and respect prophet Muhammad for bringing a lot of good things like most religions , But a lot many things in islam and other religions have become obsolete and non-sense . it has nothing to do with whether God exists or not . God exists , does not mean that he wants the human beings to bow five times a day like Islam says and wash your as.s all the time . It also does not mean that such washing should not be performed but going to the level of madness is inappropriate in todays times when Sience have answered most things and will uncover more and more . But if we start saying that Humans are more merciful than God , then it contradicts the very basis of God being Great .
