Dr Abdus Salam who?

Is religious bigotry the only reason behind the lack of recognition accorded to Dr Salam?
Recently the 15th death anniversary of one of Pakistan’s greatest sons, the Nobel Laureate Dr Abdus Salam, passed away unnoticed. One often hears well-meaning voices and laments in the national media about how Pakistan cruelly and ungratefully refused to honour its only Nobel Prize recipient, just because he was from the Ahmadiyya community.
But is religious bigotry the only reason behind the lack of recognition accorded to Dr Salam? Pakistanis as a nation have a few iron-clad traditions that are rigorously followed come what may. The most prominent of these is to mistreat anyone who does any favour to this country.
Let’s take a look at some of the people who served Pakistan diligently and the way they were repaid by the nation.
Liaquat Ali Khan, who held the country together in the face of numerous threats and conspiracies, was murdered in front of thousands, with the incident remaining uninvestigated even after all these years. Former Prime Minister Feroze Khan Noon was one of the more prominent leaders of the freedom movement, who gave up his knighthood on Quaid-i-Azam’s orders. He helped increase Pakistan’s geographical boundaries by acquiring Gwadar. Till now no other civilian or military ruler has a similar achievement to his or her credit. Less than four weeks after Gwadar was added to Pakistan, his government was toppled by the guardians of the country’s geographical frontiers.
Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Pakistan’s first democratically-elected prime minister, who was the father of the country’s nuclear programme, the 1973 Constitution and the policy of building an indigenous defence manufacturing base, was sentenced to death in a trial where the judges’ personal prejudice against him was very obvious. Former Governor Sindh Hakeem Muhammad Said, whose services in the field of medicine and education are matchless, was assassinated in cold blood, with his murderers still at large over a decade after the incident.
So my advice to all compassionate souls, who lament the lack of recognition for Dr Salam’s achievements, is that it’s not just religious bigotry that afflicts Pakistan. We also suffer a genetic, in-born trait to turn on all benefactors with a vengeance. At least Dr Salam died a peaceful dea

Unfortunately these days some anchors, under the aegis of their organizations, are violating the law, and encouraging the stooges of others to ridicule, disrespect and violate the sanctity of law which says no preemptive discussion while the case is sub-judiced. The points raised by Kamran khan could have been avoided for this reason.Perhaps he is trying to be too smart. My personal feelings. Pl. don't mind, but don't try to cross the limits in front of those watching you.
Once again this Kamran Khan who is now known as Villa Khan, proved that he is not neutral and he once again showed his keen interest in Arsalan Iftikhar case. This case is very straightforward and that is, NAB should do the investigation and if found guilty then Arsalan Iftikhar should be sent to jail.
As we have noticed that in the past few weeks Faisal Raza Abidi, Budsoorat Mutarwa Altaf Hussian, and Zulfiqar Mirza were giving statements against Ch Iftikhar and unnecessarily started the Shia controversy. In fact Altaf Hussain is now running a new Party, known as ‘MQSM’ – Muthaida Qadiani Shia Movement. As we saw yesterday, Villa Khan was very very happy over the extension given to PM-Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.
MQSM, Asfand-NUSWAR Party, Q-atil League, Maulana Diesel, Chor ul Qadri, Maulvi Rangeela…. Every body is supporting Zardri. As far as Hazara Suba is concerned, Asfand NASWAR Party is not concerned about New Hazara Suba, Asfand NASWAR Party’s main concern is Kala Bagh Dam. So long as Zardari does not give his commitment to construct Kala Bagh Dam, this stupid Asfand Nuswar will be happy and will continue to support Zardari.
All these bloody Anchors are sold-out People. Each one of them has got ‘Villas , BMW’s, Plots, hard Cash and on the top of this they all are bloody scared of Zardari.

صرف صوبہ پنجاب کی تقسیم ہی کیوں؟ پیپلز پارٹی اور مسلم لیگ نوں محض پوائنٹ سکورنگ کیلئے صوبہ صوبہ کھیل رھئے ہیں، سندھ، ھزارہ اور فاٹا کی تقسیم کیونکر ممکن نہیں؟ بلوچستان میں بھی پشتونوں کی بڑی اکثریت رھتی ہیں وہاں تقسیم کیوں نہیں؟۔ اصل میں دونوں پارٹیاں جانتی ہیں کہ نہ بلوچستان میں قرارداد آسکتی ہےاور نہ ھزارہ کیلئے پختونخواہ میں اور نہ سندھ میں کراچی کیلئے۔ مگر پنجاب والوں نے پوائنٹ سکورنگ کے چکر میں جلد بازی کی اور قرارداد نون کے گلے کی ھڈی بن گئ۔ عقلمندوں کی جماعت نے قرارداد پاس کرکے وفاق کو بھیج دی اور کمیشن بنانے کی پچیدگیاں نظر انداز کرگئے اور اب حیلے بہانے ویسے حیلوں تک نون والے ٹھیک ہیں کہ زرداری چالیں چل رھا ہے، مگر بہانے اپنی بے عقلی کیلئے۔
میری رائے میں فوری طور پر آئین میں صوبوں کی تقسیم کے قانون میں ترمیم کرکے ایک قومی کمیشن بنا دیا جائے اور صوبہ بہاولپور کی بحالی کے علاوہ تنظیمی اور زبان کی بنیاد پر زیادہ سے زیادہ صوبے بنائے جائے۔ جو کہ صوبہ پوٹھوہار، پنجاب، سرائکستان جسکا بہت بڑا حصہ سندھ اور پختونخواہ سے لیکر بلوچستان تک پھیلا ہوا ہے، پشتونستان جوکہ بلوچستان تک ہے، صوبہ کراچی جہاں اردو بولنے والوں کی اکثریت ہے جسکی وجہ سے اندرون سندھ پسماندگی کا شکار ہے، فاٹا میں پشتو بولی جاتی ہیں اگر وہ پشتونستان کے ساتھ رھئے تو ٹھیک نہ رہنا چاھئے تو الگ حیثئت میں صوبہ بن جائے۔ بلوچستان کو بھی اپنی تعمیروترقی کیلئے بہتر مواقع تب ہی مل سکے گئے جب انکی حیثئت تسلیم ہوجائگی اور بلوچوں کو پشتونوں سے الگ ہونے پر اعتراض بھی نہیں ہے۔
مگر سب سے بہتر طریقہ جو عمران خان تجویز کرچکے ہے کہ ڈویژن بنادئے جائے تقسیم سے بھی بچ جائنگے اور متعلقہ علاقوں کے لوگوں کی رسائی بھی اسان ھوجائگی۔

I found people abusing Abidi but I never find a single person answering his logical and documented allegation on the so call called Champion of justice.
Son’s evil should not be blame to father, but if father found using his influences (The Uncles) to stop prosecution, this puts lots of question marks.
Isnt it enough to recognize Cheap Justice that he released almost 1000 terrorist while ignoring Raza Naqvi (15 years) and Ishaq (19 years) and many others.
Suo moto actions on slap, Samosa, wisky and Hijra Rights…… but kept silence on Shia genocide.
In my opinion he is not Ray of hope, rather equally corrupt like Zardari, Nawaz.

regarding the "saraiki-suba" issue…Pakistan has many many ethnic-administrative Communities and if each one is to be given a "suba" status then the Central Govt of Pakistan in Islamabad will have to recognise the Pashtoon areas of Baluchistan as a "suba"….Karachi in Sindh as a "suba"….Hazara as a "suba"…..and as many more as you can think of along the Tribal-Ethnic-Linguistic Regions ……about 100 more such "administrative subas" will have to be created and funded …..not every one of them may recognise the writ of the Fedral Govt in their areas…..
as a matter of fact the percieved fracturisation of Pakistan will certainly lead towards a "un-Pakistanisation" of this country…..
if this is what the people wnt then why not dismantle the State as it exists today and let each such "suba" become a country on its own and deal with their people as they want with or without a constitution of any kind……Sind should then be called "Bhutooistan" and Karachi as they say "Jinnahpour"…..interesting events coming in days ahead
