The reason Pakistan was created so the system introduced by Prophet Muhammad PBUH in Madina could be re-introduced here. Hazrat Allama Muhammad Iqbal Rahimahullah knew that the only person who can make his vision (of Khilafat ala Manhaj al Nabuwah) a glowing reality is M A Jinnah. At the same time, he was worried about the fate of the country after Jinnah because only a handful of people understood the reason behind its creation. Iqbal knew that the people who will come after him and Jinnah might let them down and even harm the country. That anxiety grew even more in his last days. Dr Israr Ahmed Rahimahullah compared the pain of Iqbal with that of Zakaria (AS) when he prayed to Allah (SWT) to give him a son. So it doesn't surprise me when Zaid Hamid came to tears because he realizes that what the worst Iqbal feared became true.
Its very hard for an average reader of Quran (like me) and someone who studied Objective resolution, to digest the mindset of Farzana Bari. She calls Pakistan a secular state which means that 5 million people who sacrificed their lives just so the people after them are not persecuted for proclaiming "La Ilaha Illa Allah". If that is not an insult to the martyrs then what is? I condemn her words to fullest extent and pray that Allah SWT grant the martyrs the highest rank in Jannah. Ameen Ya Rabb al Alameen.
I am surprised at the level of knowledge that Amir Liaquat has. He is ill informed about the history of Islam on one hand and on the other hand, he has the audacity of saying that "Hazrat Umar RA gave the keys of Jerusalem to the Jews by telling them that it is their city". Naoozo Billah. Why would Hazrat Umar do that. Doesnt he know what the Quran has said in Surat Al Anbiya Verse 104
وَلَقَدۡ ڪَتَبۡنَا فِى ٱلزَّبُورِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ ٱلذِّكۡرِ أَنَّ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِىَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحُونَ
And We have written in Zabur (Psalms) after the advice that the land will be inherited by My righteous servants
Through out the Quran, we read how the Israelites were given strength on earth but they in their arrogance, disobeyed Allah but obeyed the decisions of their tribal chiefs and Rabbis so Allah destroyed them. Allah describes about them in Surat al Ghafir Verse 20
أَوَلَمۡ يَسِيرُواْ فِى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَيَنظُرُواْ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُواْ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡۚ كَانُواْ هُمۡ أَشَدَّ مِنۡہُمۡ قُوَّةً۬ وَءَاثَارً۬ا فِى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِہِمۡ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَاقٍ۬
Have they not travelled in the land and seen what was the end of those who were before them? They were superior to them in strength, and in the traces in the land. But Allâh seized them with punishment for their sins. And none had they to protect them from Allâh
Doesnt Amir Liaquat know what happened to the People of Noah AS, the People of Lot AS, Sodom and Gomorrah, People of Mosa (Bani Israel). They even tried to execute Nabi Isa AS but Allah saved him from that humiliating punishment. He kicked them out of Jerusalem, scattered them all over the earth and barred them from ever entering the land. But Amir Liaquat claims that that Hazrat Umar RA gave the keys to the Jews which means he defied Prophet Muhammad SAW. That allegation on Umar RA is uncalled for and he should make repent on his mistake for attributing this to him.
I would like to add one more thing .. While Amir Himaqat was talking, i could see 2 hands of a skeleton. Did anyone else notice it??
