I think Shiekh is only after his own benefit, he clearly admits that it's too late as Nawaz didn't contact him on time so as a second option he is using Imran Khan now, he says 'tuje chahta koi aur hai', means his heart is still with Nawaz. Nawaz didn't give him lift so he joined Imran to save his vote bank. He knows very well that without Imran or Nawaz he can't win even from his own area due to his past. So he is not interested in the Imran's agenda but in his vote bank, if he doesn't win this time, his political career will end up with shame.

Sheikh Rasheed is a seasoned politician ,an outspoken vocal leader and représente Pakistani middle class.Nawaz Sharif dumped him because of his outspokenness and picked Hanif Abbasi,an industrialist now once was running a médical store Just 10 years ago,and its not a secret anymore how he jumped up to be an industrialis,after being caught in drug dealing by ANF last week.
Its a good gesture from Khan to give boost to a non corrupted experienced Politician against a corrupt inexperienced guy who is now proved to be a drug dealer too.
