رہی بات برمہ کے مسلمانوں کی تو تمام مسلم ممالک بشمول پاکستان، اراکان کے مسلمانوں کو اپنے ملک میں رکھے اور وە مثال قائم کرے جو ہمارے نبی محمد صل اللە علیە وسلم نے مدینہ میں قائم کی۔ پاکستان کی اگر بات کی جاۓ تو ہمیں چاہۓ کہ اپنے بنگالی بھایوں سے معافی مانگیں کیونکہ ہم نے ان کے ساتھ بہت ظلم کیا۔ ہم شاید معافی کے لائق تو نہ ہوں مگر قوی امید ہے کہ ان کے دل بڑے ہوں گے۔

This retarded Zaid Hamid always brings India in the middle. Its not India but China which is doing expansion projects in Myanmar and causing harm to Rohingas. Burma/China are staunch allies and both are known for their atrocities over Rohinga and Ughar muslims respectively. Zaid Hamid has no balls to take on China on this issue . He is just trying the old Pakistani line and accuse India on everything.
Samir! U r right but Zaid has a point of view and he is describing the situation from defense and geo strategic perspective. To understand his views, u must know that US and NATO are trying to surround China by proxy and for that purpose, India is being used. You should keep in mind that all this is happening when there is (so called) Arab Spring one hand and financial crisis in Europe on the other. Many countries around the globe have been ruined beyond belief in the name of development. That ruin has just reached Burma and no other time would have been best for it. Besides China, Russia is also following the developments very closely. And all this is paving the way for an Armaggadeon, which in the Hadees is described as الملحمة العظمي or great wars.
My friend Ahmadz, I agree with you to some extent but in Zaid's this particular speech, the blame should go directly to China as China (not India) has taken on upgradation and development projects of ports and some islands in Burma. Burma has even leased out its little coco island to China and Chinese are building a naval base there. As for India, as more and more people are coming out of poverty line, more goods are consumed and every middle class family now wants to have their own family car, India has to look out for more and more energy resources and there it finds itself in conflict with China. Gone are the days when fights happened to gain strategical influences. US, Russia, India, China, Brazil,Japan and European economics are so interdependent that no one can afford to harm or corner others. And if some countries try to do so, the domino effect of economical collapse will destroy everyone. What we see here is more a rivalry between India and China to capture oil fields to secure their future energy needs and I have to confess that China stands far ahead in this race. This rivalry is seen in Nigeria,Sudan,South China Sea,central asia and Burma. India has nothing to do with the atrocities happening with Rohinga Muslims in Burma. Zaid Hamid is from old school, still living and dreaming in cold war era, accusing India for everything.

Chronology of last 10 years:
On October 7, 2001 the U.S.-led War in Afghanistan began.
- On August 9, 2002 Muslim gunmen threw grenades into a chapel on the grounds of the Taxila Christian Hospital in northern Punjaborn 15 miles west of Islamabad, killing four, including two nurses and a paramedic, and wounding 25 men and women.
- On September 25, 2002, unidentified Muslim gunmen shot dead six people at a Christian charity in Karachi's central business district. They entered the third-floor offices of the Institute for Peace and Justice (IPJ) and shot their victims in the head. All of the victims were Pakistani Christians. Karachi police chief Tariq Jamil said the victims had their hands tied and their mouths had been covered with tape.
- On December 25, 2002 a few days after an Islamic cleric called for Muslims to kill Christians, two burqa-clad Muslim gunmen tossed a grenade into a Presbyterian church during a Christian sermon in Chianwala in east Pakistan, killing three girls.
- The All Pakistan Minority Alliance said "We have become increasingly victimised since the launch of the US-led international war on terror. It is, therefore, the responsibility of the international community to ensure that the government protects us."
- In November 2005, 3,000 militant Islamists attacked Christians in Sangla Hill in Pakistan and destroyed Roman Catholic, Salvation Army and United Presbyterian churches. The attack was over allegations of violation of blasphemy laws by a Pakistani Christian named Yousaf Masih. The attacks were widely condemned by some political parties in Pakistan.
- However, Pakistani Christians have expressed disappointment that they have not received justice. Samson Dilawar, a parish priest in Sangla Hill, has said that the police have not committed to trial any of the people who were arrested for committing the assaults, and that the Pakistani government did not inform the Christian community that a judicial inquiry was underway by a local judge. He continued to say that Muslim clerics "make hateful speeches about Christians" and "continue insulting Christians and our faith".
- In February 2006, churches and Christian schools were targeted in protests over the publications of the Jyllands-Posten cartoons in Denmark, leaving two elderly women injured and many homes and properties destroyed. Some of the mobs were stopped by police.
