Either the person who claims for his invention knows that he is doing a fraud or he does not know the laws of physics. This is going to be a shame for Pakistan. If he can run the car constantly for many days without charging the battery then I would believe him. After the battery drains completely then he will need to run the car on regular gas to charge the battery or charge it with some external energy source. He is doing the water electrolysis by using the current from the battery and it takes a lot of current and that makes this process not fesible.
If he can put an Ampere meter with the battery in series with his invention and show the world the current he is using then it would be more logical.
Please, don't make Pakistan to be ashamed in the world before making such a claim and have it verified by some real engineer not a fake engineer or an uneducated motor mechanic.

I Doubt It ! It can't be that simple. It might be some sort of condensed or liquefied gas instead of H2 O. Science is the knowledge of truth as contrast to Religion based believes of Magic and superstitions.
If he is a truthful person then must explain the whole phenomenon and brief our elite engineers scientifically. If he has nothing to hide then scientists will appreciate him. Science is not a Religion, there is no place of intolerance, biased ideas, egos and sectarian jealousy in Science. Truth can never be argued. What one achieves in Science, gets its rightful status. He will get his right share if he is on the right scientific approach.

Dont Compare Dr. Atta and Dr. AQ Khan. Both are correct here. In fact Atta is theoretical and AQ Khan is Experimentalist. Even AQ Khan said that it should be tested first. I'm totally shocked to see the people comments here (The One's who are unfamiliar with basic physics). I'm M.Sc physics and studying abroad now. You cant get Electricity from 100% percent water. And Dr. Atta is right that having more energy than invested energy is not feasible and possible.
And Please dont hate Atta's comments. As a scientist I also laugh on what this man is saying as we have given our lives to science not just 3 years.
But this man may be true. Atta said that this should be tested and AQ Khan also said same. Now what I feel is that this man is hiding something. He is not telling the actual or whole process. Also He seems to be unable to answer Atta's questions.

Just watch the first clip at the time line 3mins and 16 seconds carefully and you see a tyre(meant to act like a reservoir for the hydrogen that is supposed to be produced) and see!!! it`s already filled(obviously with hydrogen). How simple it was to deceive Hamid Mir and 18 crore people. Another thing, at the end of this”epic journey” the tyre was almost deflated showing that the hydrogen that should have to be “generated” hasn`t refilled the tyre either. Plzz, don`t give the lame excuse that most was leaked as it will not cover the cheating of using already filled reservoir.

I heard about this technology few years back. Big Auto companies in USA have this but not using for some reason. I also heard that Saudia and other Oil produciing countries give a lot of money to do more and more research on this technology.
I guess they give money not to use this energy and just keep researching.

Agha's technology is using water as a fuel for combustion in the chamber, normally water exist in inert state but it has a very very huge and great potential energy in the form of Hydrogen and Oxygen, Agha's technology is using this already existed potential energy in water by removing the molecular bonding,
This is not a perpetual machine, it is a mechanism to use the potential energy which is already existed in water by nature, you just need to know that how to convert this potential energy in to the actual kinetic energy to produce motion. the law of conservation of energy is still intact here.

Congratulations! Double Shah is back. This time he will double your Gas. He takes an American invention- and never bothers to mention that this is not his invention, just forgot?-, buys the Kit over the internet, and runs the car for 1/2 an hour . All very well. An American can actually do it for you too. They have done it already. But wait there is a problem otherwise all Americans will be riding on water by now because this Kit they invented and they can buy it too, draws power from battery that it is charging at the same time. It needs same amount of electrical current to convert to any other form of energy. Not clear yet, right. You need a battery (even a small 9v battery does the trick) and water to separate hydrogen and oxygen.
Separating gasses is much different than splitting atoms which is what happens in a nuclear reactor and atom bombs.

This project should not be advertise in media until it evaluated by the experts in this field. This idea is very old and already patent(1920). Since the oil crisis revealed the danger of our dependence on fossil fuels, scientist & engineers have tried to come up with alternatives. In this search, Aga Waqar Ahmed a Pakistani engineer invented a water kit which transforms water into energy that can run vehicles. In Islamabad the capital city of Pakistan during a demonstration in front of Scientist, engineers, students & media Aga Waqar drove a car fitted with his water kit and water as fuel and it astounded all on footers. According to Agha Waqar Ahmed, it is no more a fantasy his invention can be used in every vehicle to use water as fuel. Agha Waqar Ahmed and his team took more than three years to invent this incredible water kit. Agha Waqar Ahmed is running his car successfully by using water as fuel for the last one year. As you see the water kit, it is very simple and no complicated mechanism involved in it. It includes a bubbler that filters the water and then transforms it into hydro gas by using electrolysis process which is done with batteries. The generated fuel then transmitted to engine to run the vehicle. The water to be used in the water kit of Agha Waqar Ahmed should be distilled water. Distilled water is free of impurities. Impurities can be removed after distillation process thus distilled water is cheap enough to buy. According to Agha Waqar Ahmed this water kit will be having fantastic fuel consumption. With only 1 liter of distilled water, a light vehicle may run for 40 Kilometers and similarly the motorbikes may run for more than 150 Kilometers and you can go up to 200+ Km/h. This water kit can easily be installed in automobiles especially in the CNG based automobiles. More according to Agha Waqar Ahmed you can operate the engine by only replacing the fuel pipes and the water kit will cost only 40 to 50 thousand PKR

Dr Atta ur Rehman, a noted Pakistani scientist questioned the invention and said that the concept runs against the basic principle of Physics. He suggested that a team of renowned engineers from top Pakistani universities should check the car for any fraud etc. However, Dr AQ Khan encouraged the budding inventor and said all the inventions initially are questioned before proven. The debate was held on Geo TV primetime show Capital Talk on 31 July. Dr Atta also cautioned against media hype.

If simple electrolysis worked to make hydrogen from clean H2O, then we would have water powered cars already. Most Engineers, Mechanics are taught, it takes more energy to produce enough energy to propel a car, therefore it will never work. You cannot break the laws of physics. They say you will not get enough BTU's from hydrogen or egas to push an ICE motor. They are right, Gasoline gets too hot, and 78% of the energy produced goes right out the exhaust pipe. A complete waste of energy is applied everyday we drive our present vehicles and also the heat contributes to the Global warming. With "On Board Electrolysis" with egas or supplied by hydrogen tanks, you don't need all this heat. What you need is strong combustion to push the piston down. Hydrogen is 2-1/2 times more combustion power than gasoline, with less heat! The inventors below manage to propel a car on hydrogen, Many of the inventors lives were threatened. Yull Brown had shots fired into his kitchen, Stanley Meyers was threatened and eventually poisoned, a few months later, Yull Brown dies of old age. I had a lot of respect for Dr Atta ur Rehman and today I lost it completely. As for the PCSIR guy, I don't even know who the idiot is. What is true is that both these guys are so "typical" of Pakistani creed. Pull down, disgrace and ridicule anyone of your own who tries to make the unthinkable happen. Without even bothering to research, he used words like "Fraud" more than 20 times… "Shame on this 3rd rate scumbag!
Dr Qadeer spoken like a true leader, a motivator, a thinker and a believer in his people. Give the man a chance, and condemn him only after you have the proof. It's no wonder that he (Qadeer) commands so much respect not only among the literate but also among the masses!!!
The problem with this theory is that it takes as much electrical energy to create the Brows gas that will power the car engine. This gas can drive the car but it can not be economically feasible. It is like making Natural gas with electricity but there is no benefit in terms of net gain. Now you can say that once battery is charging with the same engine running on browns gas, but in fact it is drawing from the battery much more than it is producing so your battery will need a charge after a long drive and you will be back to charging your battery again and again and in the end it will not save you any money. It is economically not feasible otherwise you can have a Plant making this gas and putting it in cylinders just like CNG and there you go. Again it is not economically feasible. Otherwise American s would have done it who are the actual inventors of this Technology. Agha bought this Kit over the internet and claims he took loans of a Crore Rupees , this is available for under $200 Dollars. How many you want Hamid Mir?

Very interesting. In matters like this, it is no use inviting politicians to test drive the car. What would have been better to have some professors from the Engineering University at Lahore, or othe department of repute who deal with mechanical and electrical engineering to test the device being shown.
We are tempted to believe, but can't unless proof and evidence from qualified and approved sources is produced.

Factually, producing gas on-board the vehicle, to use as a fuel or fuel additive, is too little for any useful purpose! Or simply put, the volume of gas produced through electrolysis is too small compared to the volume of gas being consumed by the engine (internal combustion). Energy required to split water molecules to feed such an engine exceeds far more than the capacity of the on-board battery.
The kit uses water, added with baking or caustic soda, and power from vehicle’s battery, to convert to gases through electrolysis, to generate HHO (Hydrogen-Hydrogen-Oxygen), or the “Brown’s Gas”. This process should not be confused with Hydrogen powered vehicles, where the Hydrogen is produced commercially at a separate location at an industrial scale, and filled in the vehicle’s tank.

This guy has been showing his work since last 6 months and almost 1 month in Islamabad and on “26 July 2012″ he demonstrated driving car with his water kit in front of renowned scientists, industrialists and team of famous automobile industries and they investigated his invention, cross questioned him and than media researched his invention thoroughly and than on 30 July 2012 he became under national media coverage which is after 4 days of his demonstration. For example if it is a fraud then I am surprised that how he deceived all of them.
Everything is possible in this world, therefore we should appreciate some one’s work with positive attitude. Those who criticise negatively and laugh they should read below;

This single fraud drops down indian literacy rate by 20% and the new figure comes to 54% well below Mozambique (a country in southeast Africa with similar conditions asin india)…and it would also adversely affect world literacy by 4% down which was earlier averaged at 90%. Now United Nations has to recalculate literacy figure upto 86% and readjust all social and economic indicators.
Please note that this is the story of a single fraud in Indian Education system, there are tens of it even much bigger, which are about to be uncovered. Then what will happen…

The amount of energy produced by combustion of H2 is twice as the amount of energy required to break H20 into H2 using electrolysis. So theoretically it is possible. But the amount of electric power required to produce H2 in that amount is massive which is not practical using a small battery.

now i ve got some very simple questions
first of all keeping in mind the heating value of hydrogen, the amount of hydrogen present in water and the efficiency of engine , even a school student can prove that a car with an engine of horsepower more than 70 cant rum more than 2kms.
Secondly recalling the laws of physics it is obvious that in order to decompose water you have to provide energy more than needed to form it. Keeping in mind the heat of formation of water u have to provide a battery of almost 25 A. In other words you have to provide a power of 5 KW in order to obtain hydrogen from water here as the total power output from 1 kg water comes out to be just 1.5 KWNow can any one answer these quite simple questions ???

I have been a College Chemistry Lecturer for more than 12 years, and have M.Phil degree. When I was Matric, I would think the invention of water engine by electrolytic cell, but very soon it was realized that this is impossible, it violates the laws of Thermodynamics, Law of Zero Temperature, Laws of efficiency.

And this guy is using a 220V outlet to make this, it consumes far more electricity than the gas creates by burning it.When talking about HHO we should start out talking about what it is and how it is made. How does the HHO system work? HHO gas is the done by having a container with a water solution, inside the container there are either metal plates or wire and an intake or out-gas tubes. The water has a charge put to it…the electricity goes through the plates or wire and causes electrolysis and the result is HHO that flows up the out-gas tube into the air intake manifold.

It's been two months since I wrote my original articles on the subject of these "run your car on water" (RYCOW) schemes and I've been constantly researching the subject to get a better understanding of all the issues involved.
Let's see what the science says about these systems, even when we take into account the very real effect that hydrogen/oxygen enrichment can have on the efficiency of an internal combustion engine.
Scientific proof
By passing an electrical current through water, you can break the bonds that hold the atoms of hydrogen and oxygen together in the form of a water molecule.
This is good science and is a process that has been known since the 1800s.
To break these bonds however, requires a significant amount of electrical energy that must come from somewhere. In the case of the RYCOW systems, this energy has to come from the vehicle's alternator and in most cases, that limits the amount of available power to around 0.75-1.0KW.Of course that 1KW or so also has to recharge the vehicle's battery, power the ignition, headlights etc, and run the various other accessories that abound in a modern car or truck.
So it's safer to assume that only around 600W is always available for the electrolysis cell, which is a maximum of around 50 amps.
Now if we delve into some more good science we find this formula for Faraday's First Law:
Vtheoretical (in m3) = (R I T t) / (F p z)
Where R=8.3414 Joule/(mol Kelvin), I=current(in amps), T=temp in Kelvin, t=time (in seconds) F=Faraday's constant = 96485 Coulombs per mol, p=ambient pressure (pascals), z=num of excess electrons.
If we plug some numbers into this formula and do some simple conversions then the following results appear:
237.1KJ is required to convert 1 Mole of water (18g) to H2/O2
To convert 1 Mole of water to gas via electrolysis will reuire 237.1KJ of energy
1 litre of H2O produces 55.55 Moles of H2 (1,358.3l) and 27.775 Moles (679.15l) of O2 (for a total volume of 2037.45l of H2/O2)
To convert 1 litre of H2O to H2 and O2 by electrolysis will require 3.658KWH
Of course all the above assumes a 100% efficiency and as we know this is simply not attainable with current materials and technology.
To get an idea as to how efficient the electrolysis process is when performed in a home-made electrolyser I found plenty of videos on YouTube where people proudly share their results.
This example is pretty typical so let's do the math:
12V x 40A ==> 480W
If we plug Faraday's First law into this figure, it suggest that in a 100% efficient cell we should be generating around 4.5 liters per minute of H2/O2 from 480W of electrical energy.
The cell in the YouTube video produces just 2.0 liters per minute, indicating an actual efficiency of around 44% – so we'll assume 50% efficiency for the rest of our calculations.
Now we need to take a look at some of the scientific research that demonstrates how hydrogen/oxygen enrichment can improve engine efficiency. This report (PDF) suggests a best-case improvement in thermal efficiency of around 14.8%-15% so we'll use the higher figure.
Now let's plug in some other figures and see if we can get a net-gain.
The engine in that paper was producing around 6.5HP at 1,500RPMs and needed 240 liters per hour (4 liters per minute) of H2/O2 gas.
An average auto engine will be capable of around 200HP and so a simple scaling would indicate that 30 times the 4lpm figure (or 120lpm) would be required to see the same 15% increase at full throttle. Of course we don't drive around at full throttle all the time so a safer figure to use would be the 20HP or so that an average-sized car requires to cruise at highway speeds.
20HP / 6.5HP = 3 times the horsepower so we'll need 3 times the fuel and three times the H2/O2 gas to see the same effect. That brings our H2/O2 requirement to 12.0 lpm.
Actually, at this stage we must also take into consideration that the engine in the paper was as diesel which uses significantly less fuel to create the same HP (due to the higher compression ratios and naturally more efficient cycle) — that's why diesel vehicles get better MPGs than gasoline-powered ones. So we'll allow a very conservative additional 20% to account for the greater mass of gasoline required to produce the same power.
That lifts the H2/O2 gas requirement to 14.4 lpm.
Now we see that the addition of 14.4 lpm of H2/O2 should (according to the scientific reports) increase our engine's horsepower by 14.8%-15% (we already decided to use the latter figure).
We're assuming a 20HP requirement for cruise speed so once we add the 14.4 lpm of H2/O2 the engine will output an additional 20 x 0.15 = three horsepower.
So far so good.
Next we have to work out how much energy we'll be taking back in order to create those 14.4lpm of H2/O2.
If we use Faraday's First Law again to calculate that figure we discover that we need around 1,536 watts – but that's only if our electrolysis cell was 100% efficient, which it's not.
We've assumed an efficiency (based on real-world figures) of just 50% for the electrolysis process so we need to double that figure — which gives us 3,072W of electrical energy required to generate sufficient H2/O2 to give us the maximum fuel-efficiency improvement at cruise speeds.
That 3,072W is 4.1 horsepower.
Uh-oh, it looks like we're spending 4.1 horsepower creating H2/O2 gas but only getting 3 horsepower back. That's a net *loss* of 1.1hp which mean's we'll actually burn *more* fuel than if we hadn't gone to all this trouble.
But wait… it gets worse…
That 4.1hp assumes that our alternator is 100% efficient in turning mechanical energy into electrical energy — which it certainly is not.
An auto-style alternator is actually only around 60% efficient so the actual amount of horsepower we'll be sucking from the engine to power our cell is going to be around 6.8hp.
Now we find that the net energy return from these "HHO" systems is an even bigger. We're spending 6.8 horsepower to boost the engine's output by just 3 horsepower.
That missing 3.8 horsepower will have to come from burning *MORE* not less gasoline.
I'm sorry — but those are the facts, there is the science.
I invite anyone to pick holes in my science or my math.

Process is possible but with very low efficiency of only 9%, so for sure car cannot solely run on HHO. However HHO can be used with petrol to increase its efficiency by upto 30%.

India’s unwanted girls
India’s 2011 census shows a serious decline in the number of girls under the age of seven – activists fear eight million female foetuses may have been aborted in the past decade. The BBC’s Geeta Pandey in Delhi explores what has led to this crisis.
Kulwant has three daughters aged 24, 23 and 20 and a son who is 16.
In the years between the birth of her third daughter and her son, Kulwant became pregnant three times.
Each time, she says, she was forced to abort the foetus by her family after ultrasound tests confirmed that they were girls.
“My mother-in-law taunted me for giving birth to girls. She said her son would divorce me if I didn’t bear a son.”
Kulwant still has vivid memories of the first abortion. “The baby was nearly five months old. She was beautiful. I miss her, and the others we killed,” she says, breaking down, wiping away her tears.
Until her son was born, Kulwant’s daily life consisted of beatings and abuse from her husband, mother-in-law and brother-in-law. Once, she says, they even attempted to set her on fire.
“They were angry. They didn’t want girls in the family. They wanted boys so they could get fat dowries,” she says.
India outlawed dowries in 1961, but the practice remains rampant and the value of dowries is constantly growing, affecting rich and poor alike.
Kulwant’s husband died three years after the birth of their son. “It was the curse of the daughters we killed. That’s why he died so young,” she says.

All those who are very excited to see this new invention should calm down for the following reasons .
(1) Lets suppose that Mr Agha drove the car by using pure water in the Kit . Dont take me wrong But it wont be any news or invention unless we answer some basic questions .
( 2) The first question is whether or not the process is Energy efficient to an acceptable or useful level. In simple words , Energy efficient means that the amount of efforts you put in the form of money , time and Material , still gives you results which is worth the efforts you are putting in it . For example it is possible to produce Pure Gold from some simple elements like Iron But the complex process ultimately costs you more than the value of gold you get . heheheh
( 3) If it is not energy efficient to meet some acceptable standards in thw world of science and technology then the experiment will be completely useless because this is not some big invention Or ( even a small invention ) to make use of water for energy purposes . In other words , using water for energy ( the ability to do work ) is nothing new . What matters is to find what is behind that water in the Kit . For example , all the atomic reactors use water for producing electricity ( which can almost do any job like running cars, factories , machines , computers , motors etc Or can be stored for later use ) But the main thing behind that water is the Heat ( a form of energy ) produced through a nuclear process from the Uranium Rods dipped in a big pool of water surrounded by the reactor walls . The heated water gives steam , and the steam gives pressure which pushes i.e moves turbines or machines ( mechanical energy ). Once you get mechanical energy , you can always convert it into electrical energy and or back into heat energy . This whole process is expensive but it is energy efficient so it is used commercially .
( 4 ) Based on the history of science and technology , there is very very little chance that the process of Agha Waqar will have any revolutionary Value Or even commercial value , But we still have to give him the benefit of doubt and appreciate his efforts unless proved otherwise
(5) the sad part is such types of claims of getting a Short Cut to inventions usually end up in some form of Hoax or Fraud , or some scheme of earning money or some other publicity for business purposes etc.
( 6) So , Pakistani viewers , its O.K to appreciate the work But please don't jump up and down and get excited like children and giving revolution type comments before we see some established good results of practical value , otherwise the world will laugh at us and it will be an embarrassment to know that we celebrated the experiment as a Breaking News But it ended up like making a new Toy. For example don't put comments like some of us did " Tamam Pakistanionn ko Mubarak Ho " , …. " Sindh should not give it to Pathans , Punjab …. " , etc etc ..
( 7 ) If it proves a big News , then already the world will be praising Agha Waqar so much , that we wont even need to stress this ,, But once again , the chances seems to be very Slim .

American Stanley Allen Meyer claimed in late 1980s that an automobile retrofitted with the device could use water as fuel instead of gasoline. Eureka!!!!!. Logic was fuel cell purportedly split water into its component elements, hydrogen and oxygen. The hydrogen was then burned to generate energy, a process that reconstituted the water molecules. According to Meyer, the device required less energy to perform electrolysis than the minimum energy requirement predicted or measured by conventional science. He claimed that purified water works best, which does not have any minerals. Meyer's claimed about his "Water Fuel Cell" and the car that it powered were found to be fraudulent by an Ohio court in 1996. Mr. Ball concluded his research in this – characterized Meyer's claims as pseudoscience, noting that "It's not easy to establish how Meyer's car was meant to work, except that it involved a fuel cell that was able to split water using less energy than was released by recombination of the elements … Crusaders against pseudoscience can rant and rave as much as they like, but in the end they might as well accept that the myth of water as a fuel is never going to go away”. Based on that Nature described Meyer's claims as one more "water as fuel" myth addition to previous 1001. Mr. Agha claim will be 1002, fool science.
In 1996, Meyer was sued by two investors to whom he had sold dealerships, offering the right to do business in Water Fuel Cell technology. His car was due to be examined by the expert witness Michael Laughton, Professor of Electrical Engineering at Queen Mary, University of London and Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. However, Meyer made what Professor Laughton considered a "lame excuse" on the days of examination and did not allow the test to proceed. According to Meyer the technology was patent pending and under investigation by the patent office, the Department of Energy and the military. His "water fuel cell" was later examined by three expert witnesses in court who found that there "was nothing revolutionary about the cell at all and that it was simply using conventional electrolysis". The court found Meyer guilty of "gross and egregious fraud" and ordered him to repay the two investors their $25,000.
That is exactly what going to happen, when Agha will make some money by fooling top Pakistani fools, and madrassa maulvis, and desperate house wives. I think it is another ali Moeen Nawazish type scam. How come it is possible to have GM, Ford, Toyota, Nissan and other car manufacturer with billions of dollars and thousands of PhD not achieving what a Pakistani without formal lab can do that?

Hydrogen gas produced as a result of electrolysis is responsible for the energy that runs the car instead of CNG but you would need a constant power supply for electrolysis.
And there Danger of Blast from Hydrogen as its highly combustable even without a fire. thats the reason the foreign countries stopped working on it due to public safety.

This is not invented by this guy..this is old technology…but not viable right now due to high cost of breaking H2O molecule…..hydrogen is a fuel and hydrogen bomb invented long ago…so dont try to make fun of pakistan that this is invented here…a pakistani
This is the News of big proportion. It is not a new idea but Agha Wiaqar trying to overcome obstikles, doubts, and of course you have to look both positive and negative sides of the project. Agha need to register his invention and project so no one can copy it in and outside of Pakistan.

Yar is Hamid mir ko pehle tehqiq krne chaeye te pir program krna chaeye ta. Its old technology. I am studyingin uk and here students make projects of using water to run small toys. The problem with this technology is that the cost of breaking water molecule (H2O) is so high that petrol becomes more economical In this program the engineer doesnt explained that whether he addressed this issue or not. Certainly not.
Hamid Mir wasted his program with Pervaiz Rashid.. He was trying to promote his leader instead of this Engineer.. But Agha Jee Aaap Ny kamal kar dya Masha Allah….
The government of Pakistan will NEVER allow this project to flourish. This world is run by mega-corporations and our government is no exception. Having said that, citizens of Pakistan need to step up. Even a mediocre businessman can take up this project and finance these guys. People are extremely sick of high petrol prices, therefore this thing will sell on its own.
