Mr Mubashir Luqman is trying to convince us for believing something which is very hard to believe for a sensible person . His arguments are useless because he is talking something which is related to the Planted interview but it still does not explain the following things .
( 1 ) : Malik riaz clearly said in the off air video that his contact is " THROUGH " only with mubashir luqman and if mubashir Luqman was not having an understanding with meher Bukhari , then Malik Riaz would not have mentioned it infront of Meher Bukhari .
( 2 ) The good things which Mubashir Luqman has done on media and he is counting and enumerating those again and again , still does not mean that he did not plant the interview .
( 3 ) Mubashir Luqman argument that " Anchors usually get phone calls during talk show " is a stupid argument , because people are not objecting to why he got a call , but people are objecting to why Mubashir luqman was asking permission from Abdul Qadir Gilani to talk about another analyst Hamid Mir . It was clear from the interview that Abdul Qadir Gilani had enough influence on Mubashir Luqman to manipulate the interview . And if he can manipulate Malik Riaz interview , then it means he could manipulate other programs and talk shows about the conflict between Judiciary and Ex-Prime Minister . And the records show that it has happened in the past because in many programs and talk shows Mubashir Luqman had been talking very aggressively against Judiciary and it is very likely that those programs were done under the directions of Ex- prime minister's son ( abdul Qadir Gilani )
( 4 ) . Mubashir Luman's explanation that " He does not get along with Meher Bukhari " is contradictory to his actions in the video where he offers cigarette to Meher Bukhari . I believe that offering cigarette to a married woman in Pakistani society , in a formal program in front of a guest , is enough evidence of good relations.
( 5 ) If interview was not planted , then why Mubashir Luqman did not feel surprised when Meher Bukhari said " The interview should not look like planted , although it is planted " .
( 6 ) Mubashir luqman has been very disrespectful and condescending to a variety of guests during his previous programs and talk shows and always treated people like he is some law enforcing officer .
( 7 ) Even in today's talk show he is trying to be rude and rationalize that it is his personal life to have relations with Abdul Qadir Gilani , but that is a stupid argument because we are not condemning his personal relations But we are objecting to the influence of his personal relations to manipulate the interview , help a Bogus man like malik riaz against Supreme court , and misguide millions of viewers who put trust on Media .
Good analysis. I may add the following:
4(a) Regarding his stand that "Statement A=fighting whit Mehar on questions about Monis Elahi" and "Statement B=Fixed and planted interview with Malik Riaz" are mutually exclusive is theoretically wrong. In fact, theoretically it is possible that these two statements may be true at the same time. In this world of media where false images and disinformation rule rather than reality, it is possible that both Mehar and Mubashir have separate set of patrons whom they guard to promote their naked interests; however, they are different from each other at times. They arrange planted sessions for them;however, Monis Elahi is friend to Mubashir but not to Mehar. Here, both are part of this planted interview with Malik but she wanna ask a question about Monis Elahi but Mubashir wanna protect him, therefore, they disagree with each other even in this planted interview. Thus these two statement may coexist at the same time.
7(a) In social sciences we usually wanna know whether a person act consistently or not. This test proves that Mubashir theoretically may wanna to promote Malik Riaz at the cost of CJ. Mubashir had taken a stand against CJ, obvious from his past interview, is a true statement(A) in his case. Malik Riaz stands against CJ and wants redicule him(statement B). Now Mubashir wants to facilitate Malik Riaz in this planted interview to prove that statement A was and is correct. He in fact want to prove himself correct. Here Mubashir of 2009 and Mubashir in 2012 are same persons with the same preferences. Here again as a rational agent where he knows that he is helping Malik Riaz therefore he should get something in return like Hamid Meer is corrupt( his desire, which may be true but he is also his rival); give me a villa also( anybody's personal desire) etc. Malik Riaz also knows his past (Statement A) and wanna work with him to arrange this planted interview.
8) People say his inclination is towards PTI is a wrong statement because he is against Qadir Gilani(PPP) and Punjab Govt (PMLn) . He is basically a rational agent and as he is a trusted friend of Monis Elahi and hence favors PMLq related elites plus Pervaiz Musharaf which means he is not in cahoots with PPP and PMLn particularly. He while opposing these two parties, play along PTI as a neutral commentator which increases his following. Thus by opposing PPP/PMLn and acting ostensibly neutral to PTI he serves both his objectives: (i) to serve his area of influence PMLq by opposing PMLn and PPP; (ii) increases his rating/following by acting neutral to PTI. The conclusion of this section and 7(a) are also not mutually exclusive and shows the real rational being of Mubashir who wants to curve out his way in this world of media.
