The person who escaped the mosque by wearing Burqa has no sharam to talk about holy religion. These very mullahs are responsible for defaming the great religion of Islam in the world by their wrong interpretations.

This Mulla is a wicked man who is responsible of killing people in Laal masjid and Jamia Hifsa, being a Muslim we dont deny the religious education by any means. He and his brother Ghazi who was killed in operation try to get publicity and downfalling the state reputation by gathering armed men there to fight with army. The parents of died people did not allowed them to make their children Jihadis here, they sent kids for islamic education. They dishonestly used the raw brains to stand against the state. This is the issue around the country, the mostly deni madaris are nurseries of producing terrorists.

Refer to prophet(pbuh) time when Masjid-e-Zarar was demolished as it wasnot fulfilling its purpose. Maulana knows what they do in Laal Masjid otherthan prayers and religious study.

Brother let me elaborate….actually the problem is that how a system can be enforced….
The actual problem is miscalculation….some people think adding wealth is profitable…having good health is profitable…having secured living is profitable….having power is profitable…
yet there are people who have a thought that securing Iman and love to the prophet (peace be upon him) and Allah almighty is profitable…..
I will give you a single example…..
When Nabi-e-Akram (peach be upon him ) asked for contribution from his companions…
Everyone tried to contribute more and more…and Hazrat Abu Bakar Siddique (Razi Allahu Ta'ala Anho) brought as much as he could. Nabi Kareem (peace be upon him) asked him what did he leave. He replied, the name of Allah and His messenger. SUBHAN ALLAH. Even after that he lived his life satisfactorily. Was he in loss?
This gives us a clear msg that we can live a satisfactory life with Iman.
Some people will say that we can not be like Them. Of course, we can not…because we are the followers. A follower will not have the same capacity and Allah almighty knows it…Yet the follower's duty is to try to do it to some degree.
As against this, a person who gets every facility, accumulates wealth from whatever source, good health and secured living etc, yet he has nothing in his account for life hereafter…and death approaches him (no certain time for it) and everything is left here. Is he/she in profit? Will he get any share on the last day?
Islam is a religion of nature. First it needs true intention to be a Muslim without any ifs and buts..then it asks for practical action. I may quote an incident.
During a Gazva, a person came to Nabi-e-Akram (peace be upon him) and requested that he intended to be a Muslim. He offered Kalema and he was sent for the fight at the same time. In minutes he embraced Shahadat. He never offered a prayer, no fasting, no hajj, nothing else. But he got a wonderful status of shaheed, because he could only perform that single act in his Muslim life. Allah almighty has blessed us with a muslim life so we should see whether we are performing our duties as a Muslim, or we are following something else. May Allah almighty bless us with wisdom and guidance to find the rightest path.
I've watched this program carefully. I must say this is a debate which cant be summed up in 35 mins. But if we focus on the education systems only, on one hand we deeni madaaris (delivering deeni n little dunyaawi education) & on other hand we have local universities (teaching science & technology with little bit of islamiat & pak studies). Which one is more effective, which type of scholars (deeni or dunyaawi) we need the most?
In my humble opinion, we have had more than our share of deeni scholars. What we need is more scientists & professionals (be it medical, physics, accounting aur town planning) to help the economy & better the living standards of the masses. Im not saying that we should neglect Islam. All I'm saying is that we dont need 8 years of specialized the training in Islam to be a better Muslim.
It really hurts me when a graduate of such institutions, despite their best effort, do not get the salaries they deserve. You know why? Cuz they are not equipped with the education n techniques to work in modern organizations. We can have them as qari of a local masjid but cant make manager of a business firm. This should be a lamaha-e-fiqriya for all who are related with these institutions.
Not everybody needs 8 year training to become a better Muslim but those who undergo such training are necessary to help make the rest of us better Muslims. We dont need professionals that can improve the current economic system which is failing all over world. In fact we need those professionals that can put into practice our own economic system. Some madaris have started producing such professionals and you can see them as sharia consultants to banks and other financial institutions. Other madaris need to come forward as well in this field and others posing challenges to todays muslim world.
However, it does not mean our universities are doing their job justly. Professionals produced by our universities are given contradicting concepts in their education. Islamic studies teacher says riba is war with Allah and his Rasool. Teacher of Engineering economy emphasizes the merits and necessity of interest based economy without any reference to islamic finance. What do you expect from such professionals?
So both sides need to adopt to emerging scenario and complenet each other rather than useless confrontation.

So, it means, at that time when they accepted unanimously, all shia, suni, wahabi,brelvi and others had one and single opinion that ISLAM is one word, complete and comprehensive where Quran(the book of divine guidance) and Sunnah (practical example set by the prophet (peach be upon him) will be superior to all other rules, laws, acts, ordinances whatever. Upto here, it goes ok that the entity of Pakistan is a federation that will be governed in light of Quran and Sunnah.

All muslims have Iman that Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the Last prophet and messenger of Allah almighty, and his shariah is applicable to all the generations to come….He knew that there would be new situations where people may have difference of opinions, new inventions and ideas etc., therefore he permitted / allowed Ijtihad in the light of Quran and Sunnah for meeting such requirement.
But there was nothing that we may dis-intigrate Islam, calling it shia Islam, deobani islam, wahabi islam, brelvi islam and so on. and up-till the constitution of 1973, Islam has been accepted a concise and comprehensive term.
So, what happened in last 39 years that each of us, have become enemy of others, and we are not accepting uniform Islamic system, saying which Islam, shia, sunni, wahabi whatever. Islams gives a great relaxation but also places limits; for example if someone offers prayers by leaving the arms down. It permits. If someone puts his hands at chest, it permits. If someone fastens hands at stomach it permits. This is the beauty. Here comes the point, what is required, that is true intention towards Allah and His prophet(peach be upon him). What Allah almighty has strongly restricted, that is clearly written in Quran, where no difference of opinion is allowed and no muslim whosoever has any objection. Otherwise, everything is open and clear to implement according to the new era.
Concluding it, if we want to implement the constitution of 1973, it needs to be implemented in true spirit where Allah and His order was thought and understood as supreme and discussions about all subjects that may lead to dis-integrate Islam may be stopped, otherwise this will simply be a hypocrisy.

Islam does not prohibit secular education. It is essential for every Muslim or follower of any faith to learn the basics of their creed. Brother let me elaborate….actually the problem is that how a system can be enforced….
The actual problem is miscalculation….some people think adding wealth is profitable…having good health is profitable…having secured living is profitable….having power is profitable…
yet there are people who have a thought that securing Iman and love to the prophet (peace be upon him) and Allah almighty is profitable…..
I will give you a single example…..
When Nabi-e-Akram (peach be upon him ) asked for contribution from his companions…
Everyone tried to contribute more and more…and Hazrat Abu Bakar Siddique (Razi Allahu Ta'ala Anho) brought as much as he could. Nabi Kareem (peace be upon him) asked him what did he leave. He replied, the name of Allah and His messenger. SUBHAN ALLAH. Even after that he lived his life satisfactorily. Was he in loss?
This gives us a clear msg that we can live a satisfactory life with Iman.
Some people will say that we can not be like Them. Of course, we can not…because we are the followers. A follower will not have the same capacity and Allah almighty knows it…Yet the follower's duty is to try to do it to some degree.
As against this, a person who gets every facility, accumulates wealth from whatever source, good health and secured living etc, yet he has nothing in his account for life hereafter…and death approaches him (no certain time for it) and everything is left here. Is he/she in profit? Will he get any share on the last day?
Islam is a religion of nature. First it needs true intention to be a Muslim without any ifs and buts..then it asks for practical action. I may quote an incident.
During a Gazva, a person came to Nabi-e-Akram (peace be upon him) and requested that he intended to be a Muslim. He offered Kalema and he was sent for the fight at the same time. In minutes he embraced Shahadat. He never offered a prayer, no fasting, no hajj, nothing else. But he got a wonderful status of shaheed, because he could only perform that single act in his Muslim life. Allah almighty has blessed us with a muslim life so we should see whether we are performing our duties as a Muslim, or we are following something else. May Allah almighty bless us with wisdom and guidance to find the rightest path.
I've watched this program carefully. I must say this is a debate which cant be summed up in 35 mins. But if we focus on the education systems only, on one hand we deeni madaaris (delivering deeni n little dunyaawi education) & on other hand we have local universities (teaching science & technology with little bit of islamiat & pak studies). Which one is more effective, which type of scholars (deeni or dunyaawi) we need the most?
In my humble opinion, we have had more than our share of deeni scholars. What we need is more scientists & professionals (be it medical, physics, accounting aur town planning) to help the economy & better the living standards of the masses. Im not saying that we should neglect Islam. All I'm saying is that we dont need 8 years of specialized the training in Islam to be a better Muslim.
It really hurts me when a graduate of such institutions, despite their best effort, do not get the salaries they deserve. You know why? Cuz they are not equipped with the education n techniques to work in modern organizations. We can have them as qari of a local masjid but cant make manager of a business firm. This should be a lamaha-e-fiqriya for all who are related with these institutions.
Not everybody needs 8 year training to become a better Muslim but those who undergo such training are necessary to help make the rest of us better Muslims. We dont need professionals that can improve the current economic system which is failing all over world. In fact we need those professionals that can put into practice our own economic system. Some madaris have started producing such professionals and you can see them as sharia consultants to banks and other financial institutions. Other madaris need to come forward as well in this field and others posing challenges to todays muslim world.
However, it does not mean our universities are doing their job justly. Professionals produced by our universities are given contradicting concepts in their education. Islamic studies teacher says riba is war with Allah and his Rasool. Teacher of Engineering economy emphasizes the merits and necessity of interest based economy without any reference to islamic finance. What do you expect from such professionals?
So both sides need to adopt to emerging scenario and complenet each other rather than useless confrontation.

After the Prophet ( SAW) his companions were virtually at war with themselves which culminated in the martyrdom and one of the greatest tragedies of Imam Hussain ( A.S).
You may get more likes, but I would rather state the facts. Sectarian conflict has been growing for a long time. Therefore, every sect will resist the other.
The only solution is the current constitution of 1973 which is a unanimous document.

Mairay bhai, aap nay farmaya, the only solution is the current constitution of 1973, which is a unanimous document….Lets see what this constitution says:
in article 1 it says ….Pakistan shall be a Federal Republic to be known as the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, hereinafter referred to as Pakistan…..
So, it means, at that time when they accepted unanimously, all shia, suni, wahabi,brelvi and others had one and single opinion that ISLAM is one word, complete and comprehensive where Quran(the book of divine guidance) and Sunnah (practical example set by the prophet (peach be upon him) will be superior to all other rules, laws, acts, ordinances whatever. Upto here, it goes ok that the entity of Pakistan is a federation that will be governed in light of Quran and Sunnah.
Next article 2 says …Islam shall be the State religion of Pakistan…..
Again the same thing….It reiterates that state religion is…only ISLAM….
one single word fully comprehensive…(rights and obligations of minorities have specially been defined in Islam).
All muslims have Iman that Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the Last prophet and messenger of Allah almighty, and his shariah is applicable to all the generations to come….He knew that there would be new situations where people may have difference of opinions, new inventions and ideas etc., therefore he permitted / allowed Ijtihad in the light of Quran and Sunnah for meeting such requirement.
But there was nothing that we may dis-intigrate Islam, calling it shia Islam, deobani islam, wahabi islam, brelvi islam and so on. and up-till the constitution of 1973, Islam has been accepted a concise and comprehensive term.
So, what happened in last 39 years that each of us, have become enemy of others, and we are not accepting uniform Islamic system, saying which Islam, shia, sunni, wahabi whatever. Islams gives a great relaxation but also places limits; for example if someone offers prayers by leaving the arms down. It permits. If someone puts his hands at chest, it permits. If someone fastens hands at stomach it permits. This is the beauty. Here comes the point, what is required, that is true intention towards Allah and His prophet(peach be upon him). What Allah almighty has strongly restricted, that is clearly written in Quran, where no difference of opinion is allowed and no muslim whosoever has any objection. Otherwise, everything is open and clear to implement according to the new era.
Concluding it, if we want to implement the constitution of 1973, it needs to be implemented in true spirit where Allah and His order was thought and understood as supreme and discussions about all subjects that may lead to dis-integrate Islam may be stopped, otherwise this will simply be a hypocrisy.

Again an utopian philosophy. Muslims cannot be united as they were in the times of the Prophet ( SAW) because he was the only one who could do it.
How can you blanket every issue? Sectarian violence in Islam is quite terrible. And it has a history.
No one solves disputes of hundreds of years by writing flowery poetry.
Only thing that can unite muslims are interests. Economic interests above all. This united the blood thirsty Europeans, the boorish North Americans.
Create common economic interests and do not engage in religious debates to unite muslims.

Islam does not prohibit secular education. It is essential for every Muslim or follower of any faith to learn the basics of their creed. In addition to learning their faith they also need to learn tools of the economy because that is how they will determine their life style. Living and making money is part of our Deen.
Society needs qualified people to run the affairs of a modern society. Engineers, doctors, scientists, scholars are all part of a successful society. Their are ample opportunities in this global economic culture where a good programmer living in small village in Pakistan can find job in a company established in other parts of the world.
In India there are millions of people working for companies in Western part of the world and are living a decent life. By providing services to your employers in distant countries, you can make good money. Not only Information Technology, but many other services work beyond borders. Burning schools means blocking our children from availing global opportunities. Maulana seems reasonable person, but Matriculation is not good enough to compete global jobs.
Learning Islam is no different than learning any other discipline in the field of education. But our children deserve good education where they are taught and trained to live in a plural society.

Most muslim countries including Saudi arabia , Iran , Pakistan , Somalia, Yemen , UAE , Qatar have far worst values, worst justice , worst law and order , worst reliability , worst manners , worst education, worst wisdom . Islam came just 1400 years back. Similarly Christianity , Judaism, Hinduism and most religions came no more than 2500 years . Humans have been on this planet at least 10 Lac years and were equally intelligent as today . Humanity came first and it is futile and unreasonable to be a Muslim but not a good human being. There is difference beweena muslim and a Momin . Definition of muslim is " A person who believes in the oneness of God and that Mohammad ( p.b.u.h ) is the last prophet . I will show you millions of people who fit this definition but they are evil , barbaric, cruel, unreliable, unkind, murderers, theives , ignorant etc etc . But I can practically show you millions of people in the christian , Hindu , Jewish and atheists who are " agreed upon " and known good human beings and personalities. Before Islam there have been thousands of good humans and our books agree with that . Aristotle , Socrates are just two examples. Hence your proposition is wrong .

This program format is not being fair with Molana and audience. Because I had never seen in this program that they have some body for counter argument with the guest. This behavior shows that our media is apologetic about the Religion of Islam. It is presented like being Muslim is something to be on defending side. Prof Hoodbhoy is a professor of Nuclear and High-Energy Physics and well knew as an Atheist in his beliefs why should we listen him when he has nothing to do with Islam. I dont agree with your arguments for the simple reason that Islam has been mixed with politics. Once people are politicising islam to again sympathy, Islam will be discussed as politics.
The other reason is that if we follow your argument, a punjabi cannot comment on sindhi politics because he does not belong to sindh; hence he/she is not qualified to do so.

My initial argument was that for this program we have never seen such format where some one is there to give counter argument. Then why it is done when a Molana is invited.
Secondly Prof Hoodbhoy is not a Islamic scholar his field is totally different and even he is not a politician or any theologian. Pakistan was created on the name of Islam so some one who do not believe on Islam have right to give any philosophy for the country for which our forefathers had given their lives.

Pakistan was created in the name of Islam, but surprisingly Jinnah made himself a governor general ( a status bestowed by the Queen of England)
He could have been the Caliph of Pakistan which he didn't become.
This is another debate which will also have arguments and counter arguments.
But here we discuss who has the right and who does not.
If maulana has the right to talk about governance and politics, why not others have the right to talk about his version of Islam?
If someone asks you to kill in the name of Islam just because he is a maulana, would you do it? saying that other have no right to dispute his decree.

Majority of Pakistanis dont marry outside of their caste as they do not agree with the notion of marrying outside their families and you are talking about implementing one interpretation of Islam.
Most of Pakistani are Followers of Hanfi Fiqah Sunni (Deobandi + Barelvi), so there is no point of discussion which fiqah will be law
