Elected Govts claim only people can accountable them after 5 years term they are right but if govt involved in blunders that cuase sever damage to nation then only Judeciary is held responsilbe for immediate accountablity. So SC is doing right job judeciary should be a fear to elected govt. Mr sethi please do not confuse people with poltical game and undermine SC. what political govt deliver to Pakistan. this is first time SC took stand against powerful so I think let SC out of bias to do good job Pakistan. you are rightly says PML-N has been feared but PTI is not feared. differnce of 2 party need to under stand.

Do you think these thing even possible in these societies. Here supremacy of law every where and that what multicultural society live with peace and harmony.
If PM or even President by pass disobey the Supreme Court, than why should i follow or obey Law. Please come up with fact and realize the importance of justice in society. In my opinion you have to clearly support Judiciary, if you cannot do it than atleast please stop protecting PM. People are not fool now a days and you lose your credibility my dear like Aetizaz. Mr. Sethi, Prime Minister is not above the law. So if Prime Minister dose not obey the supreme court, he dose not have any right to keep his position. All prime Ministers and Presidents and heads are legally bound to respect and follow the courts. Rule of law is supreme.
I have a question, according to constitution of Pakistan all laws must not be against the Quran. So the contempt law is not again the Quran.
when they say "institutes should remain and work in there own spheres"…it is the biggest lie….
every institute is related to the other and they all need to function together….not seperately……..
if someone has a grievience within the executive branch where is that person supposed to go for resolution ?…..has to be the courts..its the court that will tell the executive if they have crossed the law or not and this verdict of the court has to be obeyed…….period or else this will be a lawless society…..there is no less or more of a law it is or isnt……
I would disagree with Najam sethi with due respect.
1) S/C wrapped case against Arslan in 2 days contrary to other cases without any finding or inquiry but passed vague order asking AG to move state machinery with full force including NAB against parties just to maintain their image of neutrality, infact court was playing to the gallery as usual by passing half baked order, which Arslan want to take advantage of it.
After the formation of JIT Dr Arslan is in deep water as the documentary evidences comprising banking channels are hard to rebutt, hence the son has given SOS call to father and uncle judges, who are more confidant now to pass any order after the dismissal of PM specially in the wake of media and political support. Let us see if the hen is going to take the chick fully under its wing now. I hope media to l monitor big hen closely.
When the judiciary was putting Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif under the laws he had the Supreme court attacked and the judges had to run to save their lives. How come the same Nawaz Sharif has now become a champion of democracy. Hopefully we will get rid of these corrupt Sharif brothers in the next elections and welcome Imran Khan as the next Prime Minister.
