FOR EXAMPLE, PAKISTAN HAVE BEST EDUCATION INSTITUTION IN THE WORLD, BUT THE PROBLEM IS BOGUS DEGREE HOLDER ARE SITTING IN THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY.
PAKISTAN IS PRODUCING MASSIVE GAS, BUT ITS OWN NATION IS NOT GETTING ENOUGH GAS TO COOK ONE TIME MEAL PROPERLY ETC.

This Shermin is badly exposed like Malik Riaz, she used and further abused this victim of Tezab, victim's statement exposed Shermin evil intensions against Pakistan. Will this Shermin make movie on their crimes and gand and will still get Oscar?? Junaid and Aziz have shown today the real face of this Shermin.
It should be purpose to educated Pakistani awaam only, not whole world, do they have tezaab thrown inccidents taking place there? No they different kinds of gand/problems, like highiest rate of rapes, murders, robberies and other crimes in the world) people who do these things in Pakistan (what is the percentage of the people who do this??? .02%) they speak hardly urdu and this movie is made in english, obiviously this was made for foriegn audience not for Pakistanis, Do they show us their gand?? Why indian NGOs don't ever show us their gand and get oscar awards, they don't like Oscar Award?? It is only duty of only our NGOs?? Shermin did do nothing different than what main stream media like CNN,BBC,FOX news do everyday against Pakistan and muslims. They can only see bad things in our society (like they are pious and angels, chinese scholar confucious said when you point your one fingure towards someone your three fingures very same time point at you that you are 3 times worst than first person.) like a dirt fly leaves all health parts of the body and sits on feces, puss and bad secretions like "balgums" etc. I been to many countries, It is illogical that in one country all bad people live and in other country all angels live. These medias and Shermin type people pick one gund/problem about Pakistan or islam and then magnify it 100 times and they show to the whole world, that the have nothing but bad people (which is illogical). I had no problem if this movie was restricted to Pakistani audience only, but here the purpose and evil intentions are inolved to just bash Pakistan and Pakistani it is nothing but part of internation compiagn

The Pakistan that you don't see in the news
With the prophets of doom prophesying Pakistan's end and the world media crying itself hoarse about the ostensible failure of Pakistan as a State, it is easy to escape those aspects of Pakistan that make this country what it actually is, i.e. a truly great nation.
Below, I skim over a few select spheres of influence where Pakistan has truly blazed a trail.
1. Second largest gas infrastructure in the world:
Pakistan's gas distribution network is the second largest in the world after that of the United States, i.e. it is larger than those of all other industrialized countries such Germany, France, UK, Australia and others.
2. World class educational institutions:
Pakistan is now home to some to some the finest universities there can be. The Aga Khan University, Lahore University of Management Sciences, National University of Science and Technology, FAST, Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture and the Ghulam Ishaq Khan University are those newly established universities that have joined the ranks of older Pakistani educational institutions such as Dow, King Edward College of Medicine, National College of Arts and the IBA to become the bedrock of Pakistan's higher education infrastructure.
3. One of the most independent media in the world + stature of the journalists:
The media in Pakistan is among the most independent in the world as are the world-class journalists that comprise this institution. This has resulted in a silent revolution and national awakening throughout the length and breadth of Pakistani society similar to that which this country had witnessed prior to independence. Thus, thinkers and scholars now mould public opinion in a manner that is conducive for national building and progress.
4. An outstanding road network:
Many developed countries as well as most developing ones experience rush hour traffic jams and generally bad traffic throughout the day. In Pakistan, however, where the car to population ratio is small but growing at an astonishing pace, cities have managed to build road networks at an even faster pace. Thus, overhead bypasses, underpasses, ring roads and new motorways have successfully outpaced the uncontrolled growth of cars and motorbikes.
5. The fastest growing telecom network:
The phenomenal rate of growth of Pakistan's telecom industry is unheard of anywhere else in the world. Despite having a very small GDP per capita, Pakistan has succeeded in achieving cellular connections for fifty percent of the population, i.e. sixty million cellular connections within a span of a few years.
6. Tech power:
The level of technology in the computer connectivity and telecom sectors has, in many cases, been either equivalent to or better than even the most industrialized nations of the world. As an example, the first WiMax rolled out in the world was in Pakistan.
7. Pakistan joined the aerospace club by producing its own aircraft:
Pakistan is among the few countries in the world that produce its own aircraft. Thus, our aeronautical industry shares the likes of those in the US, France, China, Sweden.
8. Submarine production:
Pakistan has always been a shipbuilding country but has now started manufacturing submarines as well.
9. Largest ambulance service in the world:
Other than the impressive list of large NGOs and charities currently operating in the country, the Edhi Trust runs the largest ambulance network in the world and is completely free; it is run entirely on donations. Given the per capita income of the people of Pakistan, this is no small achievement.
10. State of the art teaching hospitals and research centers:
In medicine, not only have we have produced world class doctors that now practice all over the world, we also have state of the art medical facilities that offer services at a fraction of the cost that is charged for similar facilities elsewhere. To name a few, these facilities include Aga Khan, South City Hospital, SIUT, Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital, Burns Center, Kidney Center, Services Hospital Lahore and Indus Hospital among others.
To elaborate on some of the points mentioned above, I want to point out that Shaukat Khanum Hospital is the world's only free Cancer hospital. Similary, the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) is the world's only kidney and liver transplant hospital that treats patients entirely free of cost.
These institutions did not come into being as a coincidence. Rather, hard work and visionary leadership have been the primary force behind these successful projects which is very typical of a lot of development work that is currently going on in Pakistan.
11. The Citizens Foundation:
It is a non-government funded charitable institution teaching over fifty thousand students in more than 600 schools in the poorest areas of the country. There is no parallel to this institution anywhere else in the world.
12. Land of the music legends:
Most of South Asia's master musicians in every genre are produced in Pakistan. Whether it is the world famous qawwali of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, the ghazals of Iqbal Bano, Farida Khanum or Mehdi Hassan, pioneers of pop music in the subcontinent such as Nazia and Zoheb Hassan or bands such as Junoon, Fuzon and Atif Aslam, it seems the only music produced in South Asia comes from Pakistan.
13. Art:
Pakistan has produced master artists such as Sadeqain, Abdur Rahman Chughtai, Ustad Allah Baksh, Shakir Ali and others whose work is not only recognized in this part of the world but is the predominant feature of many art auctions all over the world at Sothebys and Christies . Our artist are the product of a rich cultural heritage that dates back thousands of years.
14. A resilient judiciary:
Pakistan has an exemplary judicial system in place. Attacks have repeatedly been made to subdue and weaken it over the country's history, but each time this institution has stood its ground and come out stronger after every such attempt. In my opinion, no other judiciary in the world can compare to the resilience that Pakistan's judiciary has displayed time and again. Pakistan's current Chief Justice, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary is a recipient of the Harvard Law School Medal of Freedom that has only been awarded to two other people in the school's history, Nelson Mandela and Charles Hamilton Houston.
I am actually guilty of not continuing this message any further as it has already become lengthier than what I think will be comfortable for most people to read. Otherwise, I could go on and on.

Personally i think, our "Youth" is our biggest positive right now bcuz they are increasing becoming aware of our situation.. nd now they will fight more then ever for the better future of Pakistan.

I am totally agree with the view of @ SALAMSHAH.
Sharmin's film is based on facts. The problem is mojority of Pakistan ppls are so illleterate and dumb, they can't understand the reason why Sharmin made this documentry film.
Some say she should have made this film in urdu, and she made fun of Pakistani society by making such film. This all is rubish and sensless.She made this film in english so ppls living in other countries those can't read or speak urdu they can watch the film and understand the issue and problem Pakistan's society is facing today.
Ppls like Junaid Saleem think that in film Sharmin showed negative aspects of Pakistan's society, Unfortunatelly Pakistan' s socitey havn't got any positive aspects these days, due to non existant of law and order. Pakistan socitey is hypocrate and looser they don't like to listen any critisizem against them, what they like is other ppls talk nice and give good remarks about them.
It is in nature of Pakistan society, they always blame west for their own failier. Cos they don't want to improve themselves.

At the time of IMRAN KHAN divorce, he was eligibal to receive half of the wealth of his wife, which was about 3 billion pound but Imran Khan simply refuse to claim the money as it was against his khudari…pora europe main mujhe aik bhe bunda asa dhoond ke dekhao???…or show me any example like this. Sharmin is an icon for respect. People like her are a role model for the masses and we take pride and honour in sharmin. How many people have taken these issuses in the past? Saving face is the first step towards making this heinous crime a crime?
The problem in our society is that our society is a based on hypocrats and loosers. Recently the media scandal on dunyanews is a true example of how these anchors are deceiving public. Deceptive practices are surely the only path that they follow and their dubious personalities are truly exposed. How come an anchor taking 10 to 15 lakh rupees salary can talk about poor public sufferig from hunger, security, shelter??
Derogatory remarks by Junaid Salim are higly condemable and he should appologise to the nation for slandering Sharmin Obaid personality and charisma. SHe is a ray of hope for society and we are honour to have her around us in Pakistan.

Junaid and Azizi you are a sick man. The start of program, you said, why the lady was told to take divorce? If you have a little bit respect, how a person who has put an acid on your face could live together after that? Imagine, someone put acid on your face and then you stay together? How come? Also, the topic of movies you mentioned, I 100% agree with it, there is nothing wrong, just get your dirty work and be a ashamed of it instead accept them and you are not a holy society, you are the world top worst society and that is the fact. Improve yourself so people don't blame you.
Junaid sahib don't pretend to be a better patriot than others. People are suffering on many accounts. Beside civil and military corruption, religious fanaticism is putting our lives at risk. If someone raises his/her voice for such crimes they are blamed for defaming Pakistan. Is throwing acid on women in the name of honor and killing people in the name of religion not enough to defame Pakistan. How can we not express our feeling against senseless and disgraceful acts of some mentally deranged people.

but the prob here is, that all these so-called modern Pakistanis do these days is criticize, blaming army,isi,mullahs etc while doing nothing themselves to improve our situation.

also i would recommend every one to watch aamir khan "satyamev jayate" . in this program aamir khan didn't just highlight the problems he also tried to provide solutions , nd he did the show in a manner that made Indians more aware nd at the same time no Indian got offended either.

You have not been fair here. The Pakistan establishment has always been in power; therefore, they completely deserve criticism. Each coming year in Pakistan has been worse than its predecessor.
This venal elite does not tolerate change. No one is going to sacrifice their lives if this elite is prepared to kill people to stay in power. Balochistan is an example. Sindh may be next.
Please, we need to bring our own house in order. Turkey did it, we can do it as well.

- he has an independent mind.
- he posses original thinking,unlike many others in our media.
- he is well versed in both eastern and western history nd culture.
- unlike Molvies, he present his ideas with sound arguments nd logic + he has know how of how modern world works.
- also he is not a slave minded *Desi farangi*.
- he always speaks in urdu, by nature he is a pro-Pakistani nd loves our own thazib nd sakafat. ( a quality you will rarely find in our journalists ) .
To be completely honest he is one of few Pakistanis along with azizi,imran khan etc who truly understand Pakistan…
So if you don't get what he says or you find it boring, then i am sorry bcuz you may be in need of an open mind + some degree of common sense nd the ability to appreciate Pakistaniat.

The fact is other peopls judge us the way we act, the way we speak. If some one unveil the truth in documentery film, then why Mr. Junaid start critisized them. Is it not tru these days all bad things are happening in the Pakistan society.
In short words in others countries 2 bad things are happenining out of 10 good things.
But in Pakistan, I would not mention it, if Mr. Junaid is honest he can ask himself what is crime rate in Pakistan, compare to other countries.
