A couple of days ago, the PML-N leader Mr. Nawaz Sharif was on the visit to Balochistan. During his meeting with the Baloch nationalist leaders, he clarified the position of the Baloch community saying,
“Balochistan Ke Awam Baghi Nahi Hein”.
All of us are very well aware that the Balochistan issue is not new at all. It did not suddenly emerge in Pervez Musharaf`s tenure at all. Rather, it has been prevailing for decades in the country. There has been a sort of mini war going on in that province. In my opinion, there will not be a big problem to resolve this still pending issue if the rulers impartially try to know what the Balochis` grievances are and how they can be resolved. But, the rulers of the times including especially the Military establishment kept adopting a very biased attitude towards them as they did against the Bengalis in the East Pakistan.
There is a universally accepted principle that says, “Authority creates responsibility.” It means whoever has the authority and power, will be asked for the concerned responsibility. Therefore, whowever has been holding the federal as well as especially the provincial governments of Balochistan, should be asked how this issue emerged and why it has not been resolved yet despite having the relevant authorities and powers.
The PML-N president Mr. Nawaz Sharif has been one of those rulers who have been ruling as the chief executive of the country more than once in addition to being in the Zia-ul-Haq`s government. His party has also been having the governments in the Balochistan. But, despite this fact, we are still having the Balochistan issue. Then, how can he and his party avoid the responsibility for this?? If the Chief Executive of the country as well as the Chief Executive of the province of Balochistan cannot solve this issue, then will the PM of Indian and the CM of the UP come for this purpose?
Did`t Mr. Nawaz Sharif, as the PM from Punjab, have the best opportunity to have sincere talks with the Balochi leaders and try to resolve their grievances which they were having especially regarding Punjab? But, was it solved in 80`s when he was in the government of the Gen. Zia-ul-Haq? Was this issue seriously taken up by him in 1990 when he, for the first time, became the PM? Were these grievances removed when he second time formed his government? No, not at all. It was still unsolved by12 Oct, 1999. Then, why shouldn`t he also be treated with those rulers who knowingly or unknowingly did not solve this issue? But, despite this “performance”, he went to Balochistan and tried to be innocent before them. Any way, during his Balochistan`s visit, he declared that the Balochis were not traitors at all. I agree that they are as patriotic as other Pakistanis are.
However, my objection is to the Nawaz Sharif`s double standards in this context. We know that thousands of people have already been killed in Balochistan in the violence; hundreds of unidentified dead bodies have been found from various parts there; thousands of people have already migrated from Balochistan after the ethic killings; there have been clashes between the Pakistani military troops and the Balochi separatists as well. Even there are some parts of the province in which the national anthem cannot be played. It shows how serious situation we have been having in Balochistan.
So, when Nawaz Sharif, in spite of so serious situation, can call the people of Balochistan “patriotic” (to which I agree too), then, why does he want to opt the military courts for the people of Karachi?? Are the Police, Rangers or the Army men being attacked here? Are the people belonging to any community forced to migrate from this city? Are the rockets being fired at any one? Is there any movement for separation for any independent “Desh” or “Pur”?? Is there any area of the city where the national anthem cannot be played? When not, then why does Nawaz Sharif treat the Karachiites as the traitors or the people against the country? Why does he plan to set up the military courts for the people living here? Has he forgot that the people of this city extended their political support through MQM to him to be the PM for the first time?
Doesn`t he remember that MQM supported him in the time when he was merely an opposition leader? Has he overlooked the fact that due to supporting him, MQM and its people had to face the political victimization from the PPP government, but they kept standing with him? Has he also forgot that it was MQM which forgave his criminal silence over the military operation against the Urdu speaking community and supported him again in 1997? But, what was the reward from him in return for the Karachiites? Military operations? Killings? No-go areas? Military courts? Can he be trusted any way? Should he be given any more chance to rule this country?
Of course not! The people, who have such bias-filled minds, are the real traitors of the country; these are the people who push the patriotic Pakistani communities to the wall and, thus, compel them to think of separation or division. May Allah either reform them or make them the part of the history…..
The BIGGEST PROBLEM with DEMOCRACY is that after ELECTIONS all MPA, MNA and SENATORS concentrate on working for their PARTY and PARTY LEADERS and do NOTHING for the NATION and the NATION gets PUNISHED for VOTING for them and all their HOPES are DASHED while all the HOPES and ASPIRATIONS of the PARTY and PARTY LEADERS are FULFILLED at the COST of the NATION and the COUNTRY is RUINED.
The ONLY SOLUTION to this PROBLEM is that after ELECTIONS all POLITICAL PARTY and PARTY LEADERS must be DEACTIVATED so there will be no PARTY and no PARTY LEADER and the MNA, MPA and SENATORS will then ONLY CONCENTRATE to WORK for the GOOD PROGRESS and PROSPERITY of the NATION.
Therefore all PARTY and PARTY LEADERS will be ACTIVATED 3 MONTHS before ELECTIONS and thereafter NO PARTY and PARTY LEADERS and the ELECTED MPA, MNA and SENATORS will have NOTHING to WORRY about except for the NATION who gave them VOTES and they ONLY should be SERVED and all efforts must be made in NATIONAL INTERESTS and the PRESIDENT can be IMPEACHED even if he has IMMUNITY. This is the ONLY way to get rid of CORRUPTION and to break the STATUS QUO.
ALL POLITICIANS must be made to UNDERSTAND that if they must do POLITICS then it is the NATION they must SERVE in EXCHANGE for their VOTES and not the PARTY or the PARTY LEADERS. The NATION must bring about this CHANGE and this REVOLUTION. THIS IS A SIMPLE REMEDY with EVER LASTING BENEFITS for the NATION.

Even though there is no comparison between our Great Leader Imran Khan & Nawaz Shaif, lets we try to compare them, Imran is hardworking person, last 15 years he is trying to win herats and minds of people of Pakistan, genuine leader great path in contrat Nawaz Sharf chosen shoulders of military establishment from day one of his political life as party leaders. Sorry i have to disagree with many things said by Mr. Nawaz. Its amazing that he is still using the old rhetoric against army to gain sympathy from the public. I can't believe he was our prime minister twice. Bottom line is, if civilian government is doing good then Army will not touch the so called democracy. With regards to his argument about agencies supporting PTI, is direct disregard for millions of Pakistani people who happen to support PTI. Did agencies ask people to support PTI? I don't think so!!

I like to ask Nawaz Sharif if he has the God given right to rule Pakistan, he was Prime Minister twice and he bank-rupted the country.
During his time Lawyers were beaten at mall road Lahore with their pants down and news reporters were abducted and punished by Police if they said any thing negative about him.
His family owned a tiny foundry and after joining politics he became a billionaire.
Recently he had a by-pass, he should retire and enjoy the remaing few years of his life with stolen money he has stashed in foreign banks.
Pakistan has plenty of competant and honest people, they are thousand times better then him and they can mange this country a lot better then some dead wood like him.
salim saafi has proved to be a really silly anchor . He framed the interview based on most silly , childish and almost stolen question from the other programs. I could not imagine an anchor could be having so low IQ level. No ingenuity in his framed questions. Amongst all I think Mr. Talat Hussain is very rational and objective anchor and to TOP IT ALL "NOT FOR SALE". As far as Nawaz is concerned well no advice can work for him as it is beyond HIS CAPABILITIES.
As soon as MQM submitted the resolution for Hazara and South Punjab provinces to the National Assembly, very extreme criticism came up towards it from especially ANP and PML-N. The criticism based on mainly two aspects:
1) The new provinces should be made not on ethnic basis, but on administrative basis;
2) How can a party (MQM) raise any issue retaining to the areas where it does not have any MNA, MPA or even councilor?
Regarding the first reason, MQM has made it very clear that it wants to form new provinces on the administrative basis only. However, my question is, what were the reasons due to which the people belonging to specific areas or ethnic communities had to stand up with the demands of their rights on ethnic basis?? When the people belonging to a specific community based on ethnicity, sects, religion or even gender have been deprived of their fundamental rights just due to discrimination, then why wouldn`t they stand up for their withheld rights on the same basis?
Secondly, it is not that community which can be criticized for such demands, but the people who treated this community prejudicially and deprived it with its constitutional rights.
The history tells that the Muslims of the undivided India had to face the similar discrimination just due to the reason that they were Muslims. Since the Muslims, despite belonging to different languages and cultures, were discriminated on the basis of the religion, they got together and demanded for their rights on the same base , i.e., religion.
Similarly, the Bengalis were treated with the double standards on the basis of their language and culture (ethnicity), so they stood up and demanded for their withheld rights on the same basis. Recently, all the political parties had to get together and stand up for their political and democratic rights which had been deprived of by the non-political and non democratic army general. Did these political parties not raise their demand on the same base on which their constitutional rights had been withheld?
In other words, the affected people or communities naturally raise their demands the same way in which their rights are seized. Since, the people of Hazara, South Punjab and of Balochistan were discriminately treated ethnically, then, they have the right to raise their demands in the same way.
When demand for new provinces is being criticized due to reason that the provinces should be formed on administrative basis, then is it also not a reality that such opposition is being made purely on ethnic basis? Don`t these irritating statements such as, “Sindh Hamari Lashon Per Taqseem Hoga”, “KPK Hamara Suba Hai, Hum Pakhtoonon Ko Taqseem Nahi Honey Dengey” and “Agar Punjab Taqseem Hoga To Sindh Bhi Taqseem Hoga” prove that the existing provinces and their boundaries considered as holly and untouchable due to ethnicity??
Any way, if PML-N and ANP are of the view that the rights of these communities can be given to them in a way other than constituting Hazara and South Punjab provinces, the, MQM can support such steps only if the people of these areas get satisfied in this way. MQM will not act like “Mudayee Sust Aur Gawah Chust” at all. If the relevant people are content and withdraw their demands, then MQM will also be happy that due to its efforts, the oppressed people have got their lost rights back.
It is also interesting that MQM was criticized due to its demand for deletion of the clause pertaining to the requirement of two-third majority for forming new provinces in the country. My question is, can the smaller communities get that 2-3rd majority in order to get their rights back? Considering the prevailing scenario, they cannot do that. In other words, no majority, no rights to them?
But, if this is the valid principle, then the questions is, did the All India Muslim League have that two-third majority in the assembly of the undivided India to meet its demand for “Pakistan”? Did the Muslims get the required majority in the assembly dominated by the Hindu parliamentarians to meet theirs demand for a separate piece of land for Muslims? If the British government had required the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammadali Jinnah to prove his majority in the assembly after the elections in 1946, considering the majority of the Hindus there, could Pakistan ever come into existence then???
When even the non-Muslims___ the Hindus and the English could respect the demand of the Muslims for separate piece of land and eventually accommodated it, then are the PML-N and ANP leaders worse than them in this respect?? They are not in a mood to respect and accommodate the demand of their own Muslim brothers for new provinces?
In the same way, does the two-seater party ANP, have any right to make any demands for Pashtoons in Sindh because of the reason that it does not have the two-third majority in Sindh assembly? Will ANP abide by it s own “philosophy” in Sindh especially in Karachi too? Will it remain silent then?
Moreover, MQM was also maligned arguing that a party cannot speak about the issues of the people of the area from where it does not have any MNA, MPA or councilor. Not only that, in a talk show, one of PML-N leaders Khurram Dastagir also supported this argument saying that speaking on such issues without having any political representation in the relevant assemblies might deteriorate the situation, even it would instigate violence there. So, such activities should be avoided by the ir-relevant people.
If this “logic” is justified, then does PML-N have any MNA, MPA or even a councilor from Sindh especially Karachi? When no, then how have the PML-N leaders including Ch. Nisar been taking up and speaking about the issue of Karachi in the National Assembly? Isn`t it on record that even inviting Zulfiqar Mirza to the National Assembly was also discussed by PML-N there? Did they have any right to do speak about the city or province where they did not have any political representation?
Recently, Nawaz Sharif announced to set up the military courts for Karachi in future. Under what right, did he dare to make that announcement for Karachiites? Was he not an ir-relevant person to make such plans about Karachi? Not only that, even the Punjabd and KPK provincial assemblies have not only discussed the Karachi issue, but also have passed some resolutions in this context including warning MQM.
What relation or influence did these provincial assemblies have with Sindh especially Karachi that they passed resolutions about it? Taking into account the PML-N and ANP adopted philosophy, did these assemblies have any right to speak about Karachi whose people did not give them the relevant mandate?? As per Khurram Dastagir`s words, was that not, in fact, “instigating the violence” in Karachi by those provincial assemblies?
“Sherm Inko Magar Nahi Ati!”
No matter the resolution tabled to the National Assembly by MQM for new provinces of Hazara and South Pujab is passed or not, at least the real faces of all the political parties about the existing as well as constituting new provinces have come before the people. Now, the people of Pakistan especially of Hazara and South Punjab have to make their decisions accordingly.
